Today, I want to talk to you about the most powerful part of your day: your morning.

your brain in the morning, especially just after waking up, is in a state that is particularly conducive to making changes and creating your desired reality.

the significance of this time because your brain waves are transitioning from slower states associated with sleep (delta and theta) to faster states associated with waking and consciousness (alpha and beta).

your brain's state in the morning:

Most Programmable State: The first few minutes after waking are considered a "programmable state," where your brain is more receptive to new information and suggestions.

Window to the Subconscious: The transition between sleep and wakefulness is seen as a time when the "door to the subconscious mind is open," making it easier to access and reprogram limiting beliefs and thought patterns.

A Memory Bank of the Past: Your brain is a record of past experiences and memories, and when you wake up, your usual tendency is to activate those circuits and memories, which can lead to repeating familiar patterns and emotions.

Opportunity for Reprogramming: you can use this time to consciously choose your thoughts and feelings, and by doing so, begin to reprogram your brain and body to align with your desired future.

Primed for Meditation: Meditating in the morning or evening is particularly beneficial because you are already transitioning through the brain wave states that are ideal for meditation.

Brain Waves Shift: As you wake up, your brain waves naturally shift from delta and theta to alpha and beta. By engaging in certain practices, like meditation, you can consciously influence this shift and create a more coherent brain state.

the morning is a crucial time to intentionally guide your thoughts, feelings, and actions, as your brain is in a state where it is most open to new possibilities and reprogramming. It is very Important to have  a morning routine that includes practices like meditation and "mental rehearsal" to prime your brain and body for a new day and a new reality.

Segment 1: Napoleon Hill’s Philosophy on the Start of the Day.

Quote: “Your subconscious mind works while you sleep. When you wake up, your first thoughts dictate your day.”

Hill believed the morning is when your mind is most receptive to suggestion. It’s the prime time to program your thoughts.

This is the essence of the Definiteness of Purpose principle — use your mornings to reconnect with your burning desire and clear goal.

Napolean Hill,  one of the greatest minds in personal development—Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich.

Now Hill believed—and I agree—that the way you start your day sets the tone for everything else. It’s not just about routines or productivity hacks. It’s about power. It’s about purpose.

Here’s something Hill said that always stuck with me:

“The dominating thoughts which we hold in our minds and feel with emotion will eventually reproduce themselves in outward, physical action.”

Think about that. The moment you wake up, your mind is wide open—fresh from sleep, free from distractions. That’s the best time to plant powerful, intentional thoughts into your subconscious.

Hill called this the power of auto-suggestion. When you begin your day repeating your goals, visualizing success, and speaking positive affirmations, you're literally shaping your future with your own words. You're setting your mental GPS.

But here’s the problem: most people waste their mornings. They hit snooze. They scroll through social media. They check email. Right away, they’re reacting to life instead of creating it.

Napoleon Hill warned against this. He said drifting through your day without purpose is one of the greatest dangers to success.

So let me ask you: Are you drifting through your mornings? Or are you directing them?

Hill teaches us about something called a “Definite Major Purpose.” That’s your big reason for doing what you do. And each morning, you should reconnect with that purpose.

Your morning is your personal board meeting with your future. It’s your time to step into the mindset of the person you’re becoming—not the person you were yesterday.

Let me walk you through what I call the Hill-Style Morning Routine—inspired by his teachings:

Wake up early—before the noise of the world kicks in. Give yourself at least 30 minutes of uninterrupted time.

Review your definite major purpose. Read it aloud. Own it. Feel it.

Affirm your beliefs. Say things like: “I am focused. I am disciplined. I am attracting the people and opportunities I need.”

Visualize your goals. See your dream as if it’s already real. Feel the emotions.

Plan your day. Write down the three most important things you must do today to move closer to your goal.

When you do this, you’re not just having a better morning. You’re building momentum for your entire day—and for your future.

Hill believed that success is not accidental. It’s the result of daily, intentional thoughts followed by consistent action. And it all starts when? In the morning.

So let’s flip the switch. Instead of letting your mornings control you, take control of them. Begin tomorrow with purpose. Speak life into your goals. Set the emotional tone for your day.

Because when you win your morning, you win your day. And when you win enough days in a row—your life changes.

I'll leave you with one more quote from Napoleon Hill:

“What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.

So get up. Conceive it. Believe it. And go achieve it—starting with how you start your day.

Thanks for joining me on The Year of Profit. If this episode helped you, do me a favor—share it with someone who needs that morning motivation. And let me know how your mornings evolve after applying these principles.

Morning Rituals that Build Wealth & Confidence

Auto-suggestion: Recite affirmations and your major definite purpose. Hill recommended doing this first thing in the morning.

Visualization: See your success clearly. Imagine living the life you want as if it's already yours.

Gratitude: Hill promoted positive emotion as fuel for the subconscious. Morning gratitude sets a wealth-based mindset.

Planning: Successful people don’t drift. Hill taught that daily organized effort is key — and your morning is the moment to plan your “next best move.”

Why Most People Waste Their Mornings

Jumping into social media or email puts you in reactive mode.

Hill warned against starting your day with negativity, worry, or distraction — it muddies your mental clarity.

“Your dominating thoughts attract like-minded circumstances” — starting your day in chaos attracts more of it.
