December evenings can feel like a pressure cooker. You scroll through Instagram and see everyone’s lives perfectly arranged: big wins, festive decor, smiling faces. When the future feels shaky and the world seems out of control, hope is often what’s missing. But here’s where you check your pulse: hope is not wishful thinking or vague optimism. Real hope is a confident expectation anchored in the faithfulness of God. Jeremiah 29:11 cuts through the noise: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Marriage is no fairy tale without effort. It demands work, dedication, and a clear purpose to turn the ordinary into an extraordinary journey. When that effort wanes, couples find themselves facing the big ‘D’—divorce. No one wants that outcome. Yet, many walk down the aisle with hope for forever, only to get distracted by the temptation of greener grass elsewhere. But the problem is that they're digging for gold in the wrong places. Picture this: It’s Black Friday, and everyone’s scouring the stores, hunting for the best deals, the quickest wins, the most immediate gratification....

Raising kids with kind hearts filled with gratitude feels like an uphill battle these days. It’s no secret that screens dominate their attention—heads buried in phones and tablets, tuning out the world around them. But it doesn't have to be this way. If we let kids do what they want with technology, many will struggle to grasp what it really means to be kind, respectful, and thankful. Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denials into acceptance chaos into order, confusion into clarity. Being present doesn’t mean you have to be perfect. It just means choosing to actually be here—fully—even when every part of you wants to be somewhere else.
That’s the truth we need right now. Life won’t pause for your exhaustion. It keeps pulling and pushing, but when you lean into presence, showing up for yourself and those around you, you win your day.
The Bible reminds us, “Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).
"Rest isn’t just sleep; it’s a soulful pause within the chaos. And being present in that pause—that’s where life breathes again." ~ Kristianne Wargo
The K.I.S.S. ~ Show up!
One thing I've learned is that presence is the safest place to land when life won’t slow down.
You don’t have to fix everything. You don’t have to have all the answers or boundless energy.
Just be here. Right here. That’s enough.
So this weekend, as your body cries out for relief and your mind races with the next to-do, remember this: your greatest strength may be found in the simple act of showing up—to your own life, your own rest, your own sacred moments.
“In the middle of relentless days, presence is the kindest gift you give yourself. It’s the start of your comeback.” ~ Kristianne Wargo
Don’t minimize your tired. Respect it. Sit with it. And then, show up anyway. Because the truest win is being fully present, no matter how worn you feel.
As you go into your weekend, light your fire—whether it’s in your heart or on the hearth—and stay a little longer in yourself. Presence over perfection. Courage over exhaustion.
"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"
