Election workers can counter threats with preparation, quick action, and coordinated support from security partners.
• The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) guide, Physical Security of Voting Locations and Election Facilities, provides election officials with guidance for enhancing the physical security of voting locations and election facilities. The document emphasizes the Connect, Plan, Train, and Report framework to ensure preparedness. This includes building relationships with local law enforcement, creating emergency and security plans, training election workers on de-escalation and threat identification, and fostering a culture of vigilance.
