Release Date: 09/27/2024
How Humans Heal
In this episode, I'm going to be talking about the concept of the "magic pill" and I'm going to be especially using it to talk about risk for HPV-related cancer, specifically cervical cancer in women. But I encourage you to listen in regardless of what health issue you're dealing with to better understand the mindset, perspective, and paradigm shift that I see my patients making in order to truly transform their health. The magic pill concept is about a fictional or hypothetical medication that can miraculously heal or cure any kind of health issue from a single pill without any side effects...

In this episode I'm going to be sharing with you 3 reasons why I consider high-risk HPV virus to be a narcissistic virus. I'm referring to high-risk human papillomavirus. 99% of cervical cancer for women is associated with high-risk HPV virus. High-risk HPV is also associated with other types of cancer for both women and men. In fact, it's one of the fastest-increasing types of cancer that exist today. Cervical cancer alone is considered the third most common cancer in women. As a naturopathic doctor and midwife specializing in women's health for over 25 years, this is something I've been...

In this episode I'm excited to introduce you to Laura DeKraker Lang-Ree. She is a patient advocate, a professional educator for over 30 years, and author of a book to empower parents who are in the process of supporting their child through cancer treatment. It's called "The Cancer Parents Handbook: What Your Oncologist Doesn't Have Time to Tell You." I’m so grateful that Laura is joining me on How Humans Heal to share about her journey that led to writing the book. She didn't write it out of nowhere - she wrote it because she went through it herself. Her daughter had childhood leukemia at...

Today I'm excited to introduce you to Dr. Brandy Cummings, who holds a doctorate in Clinical Nutrition. She's the host of the Resilient Motherhood Summit, which I'm particularly enthusiastic about because she's created this wonderful opportunity to support women who've been dealing with chronic health issues during and after pregnancy. Pregnancy and motherhood is a beautiful and amazing time of women’s life, and it can be extremely stressful and depleting for women. Nutrients can become deficient, and hormones can become imbalanced. This leaves women at risk of many different health issues,...

In this episode, I'm going to be talking about the five reasons that high-risk HPV virus and abnormal pap smears are more common during peri and post-menopause. Many women think that dealing with HPV and abnormal pap smears is primarily a concern for women in their 20s and 30s. While yes, it is a concern for younger women, it's also a significant issue for women over age 35. Age 35 marks the beginning of perimenopause, which means around the time of menopause. Menopause is defined by one year since your last period, with the average age being 51. This means that post-menopause comprises most...

In this episode I'm really excited to introduce you to Dr. Aimie Apigian. She is the author of the book "The Biology of Trauma" and specializes in helping people recover from trauma using somatic therapy and “parts work,” which is a form of psychotherapy developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz. As listeners know, I (Dr. Doni) have been researching and writing about stress and trauma for over 30 years. I feel it is imperative that we support patients to recover from stress and trauma, which is how I developed my Stress Recovery Protocol, and why I continue learning modalities, and teaching...

Have you wondered if being a highly sensitive person might increase your risk of high-risk HPV and abnormal pap smears? I'm Dr. Doni Wilson, a naturopathic doctor and women's health expert. I help women who test positive for high-risk HPV virus, including women who have abnormal cells on the cervix or in the vagina, to eliminate high-risk HPV so they don't have to continue getting ongoing procedures and potentially develop cancer. Most women find out they're testing positive for high-risk HPV after having a gynecology exam and pap smear. More practitioners are now testing for high-risk HPV at...

In this episode I'm going to be talking about my approach to healthcare in general, and specifically women's health and abnormal pap smears. I want you to understand how what I do and the way I approach healthcare is different than what you may have experienced in other practitioners' offices or medical offices. This is a different way of looking at things, a different way of looking at the human body, and a different way of looking at how healing can happen. If you choose to become a patient of mine or work in one of my programs, you'll know this is the way Dr. Doni guides you to heal! LINKS...

In this episode, I'm looking forward to introducing you to Dr. Jenn Simmons. She is a breast surgeon who turned into an integrative oncologist, now specializing in helping women identify breast cancer early and prevent breast cancer from happening in the first place. She has opened two QT breast imaging centers and is preparing to open more of them to help women in this effort to reduce breast cancer nationwide and even worldwide. Dr. Simmons is also author of "The Smart Woman's Guide to Breast Cancer." The book, as Dr. Simmons explains, is not just for women with breast cancer - it's...

Today I want to talk about where to begin when you get a positive HPV test. A significant change has occurred in how we detect HPV - decades ago, we only discovered HPV once abnormal cells were identified. Now, women are tested for high-risk HPV during routine pap smears, leading to more frequent diagnoses. I believe women are more susceptible to high-risk HPV than ever before. The HPV virus doesn't discriminate by age; I help women from age 20 to 75 and beyond because HPV can affect women at any stage of life. Importantly, even after a hysterectomy, you're not immune - the virus can impact...
info_outlineI know how scary and overwhelming it can be when you first find out that you're testing positive for a high-risk HPV virus and potentially abnormal cells. I'm Dr. Doni Wilson, and I've been helping thousands of women for over 24 years to address high-risk HPV virus, get it to negative, and protect themselves from cancer caused by high-risk HPV. I understand it because I've also dealt with HPV myself.
When you first hear from the doctor's office, when you first get that pap smear result back and it says "abnormal," sometimes in red letters, it can feel like your whole world stops. Yet at the same time, you still have all of your daily responsibilities and expectations. You have your work, your family, and your goals.
And yet, here comes this information that the HPV virus is potentially causing abnormal cells or precancer or even cancer cells. Very often it's on the cervix, but it could also be in the anal, oral or sinus area. If you're listening to this video, I know you're probably searching, looking for answers. What can I do? How am I going to take care of this while taking care of everything else in my life?
If you are ready and would like to start taking the first steps towards clearing HPV I encourage you to sign up for my Heal HPV Kickstart Program here or my Say Goodbye to HPV Program here (with online access to my complete protocol and healing community).
These programs are great ways for you to access my protocol, products, doses, stress recovery, and dietary support from online. You’ll also get access to order testing and vaginal suppositories. I’d love to teach you how to heal and protect yourself from HPV.
