This week on the show, Ang is delighted to be joined by its creator and founder Stephen Nixon. In this interview, Stephen explains how a family law case he was involved in made him realise that there was a practical solution to a universal problem faced by separated parents all over the world and, how his solution, ‘The TalkingParents App’, can lead to a healthy, court free relationship with your ex.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

● When Stephen’s brother left the law firm that they had established together, Stephen found himself thrust into the world of family law. He explains how his experience on a particular case inspired him to launch the TalkingParents app.

● Whilst some relationships between parents can turn sour after a divorce, some do stay civil and, these people, do not see the need to record their communication. But, as Stephen explains, TalkingParents can be an effective tool, regardless of the relationship with your ex.

● One of the features on the TalkingParents app is the ‘shared calendar.’ Stephen explains how this is different to a regular calendar and how it enables both parties to have a comprehensive, up to date understanding of what they have agreed to.

● With a lot of parenting apps on the market these days it takes something special to stand out. Stephen details how TalkingParents, with its wide range of unique features, makes it a leader in the field.

BEST MOMENTS

“It’s amazing how much time is wasted in court with things that could have been resolved sooner.”

“A lot of people that go to family court end up going back several times. Good communication can help prevent this, and the scaling costs.”
