So I met Terra about 11 years ago at a fight gym I was working at; come to find out we also had some mutual friends. We’ve followed each others lives over the years on social media and I watched her get married and become a mother of two instantly. The biggest smile you’ve ever seen. I’ll be honest…this was a hard story to be in front of. This one hit me and I’m taking a piece of this with me. I have a deep sense of empathy for Terra and what she’s been through. This episode got heavy and honestly I wasn’t fully prepared to hear what came to be a very gut-wrenching story. As always were dealt with various challenges in life but nothing can prep us for what we would call “an unexpected death”. I couldn’t help but ask more questions about everything; that included feeling every emotion that came during this episode. I’ll tell you what though, death is always followed by life and there’s a happy ending to this story. You’ll have to tune for the full episode in a couple of days

info_outlineCayla Craft's journey in entrepreneurship is one that's sure to inspire many. From working as a nurse to becoming a millionaire in network marketing, she's had quite the ride. But what's even more impressive is her willingness to pivot and try new things, even when she's successful at what she's doing.
Cayla's story begins with the birth of her first child. She realized that she wanted something different for her life than working 12-hour shifts as a nurse. So, she turned to network marketing, a field she had dabbled in before. And guess what? She became a millionaire in just a couple of years! But here's where the story gets interesting. Despite her success, Cayla wasn't happy with the way she had made her money. So, she decided to try something new.
Cayla knew she liked sales, marketing, networking, and helping people. So, she started coaching people on their businesses, specifically in social media. This was back in 2013, when organic reach was still a thing, and people were just starting to understand the importance of personal branding. Cayla got good at teaching people how to figure out their personal brand and display it to the world. And guess what? She impacted a lot of people's lives along the way.
But let's be real here: entrepreneurship isn't easy. Cayla is quick to remind us that you don't make money in the beginning with any business. You've got to be willing to put in some Sweat Equity and not see anything in return for a while. And if you're already counting the days, you're going to miss the hours. In other words, if you're not committed to the journey, you might as well go get a job. Not everyone is meant to be an entrepreneur, and that's okay.
Cayla's journey had its challenges, too. Her identity was so wrapped up in being a nurse that it was hard for her to let go of that and embrace something new. But she did it, and she's thriving. So, what's the moral of the story? If you're not happy with where you're at, try something new. And if you're committed to the journey, the dash in the middle, that's where the growth happens. Don't rush to get to 60; enjoy the ride along the way. And most importantly, don't be afraid to put in the work and sweat equity that it takes to build a successful business.
