The Intentional Game Design podcast is all about Minecraft, and in this episode, we (Darke and VidMC) go over all the snapshots released in February 2025. Minecraft Sheep Variants Update:
- New naturally spawning Minecraft sheep variants were introduced but later adjusted.
- Shearing now retains some wool color, improving Minecraft parity between Java and Bedrock. Minecraft New Mobs & Animal Changes:
- Minecraft camels now spawn in deserts, not just villages.
- Wolves received new personality-based sounds.
- Mooshrooms got a texture update, now featuring a snout. Minecraft Trading & Exploration Updates:
- Cartographers now sell maps to various villages and structures, improving Minecraft exploration.
- Wandering Traders offer better trades, including enchanted iron pickaxes and basic materials.
- Minecraft World Immersion & Environment Changes:
- Fallen trees now appear in forests, enhancing world realism.
- Minecraft leaf litter changes color based on biome, improving environmental depth.
- Miscellaneous Minecraft News:
- Spawn eggs now have unique textures, making them easier to identify in creative mode.
- Bundles are easier to craft and now generate in village chests for improved inventory management.
- Minecraft latest snapshot (09B) mostly included bug fixes, signaling an upcoming release.
