info_outlineDeepak Chopra - Interview Total Meditation
The Not Old Better Show, Smithsonian Associates Art of Living Series
Welcome to The Not Old Better Show. I’m Paul Vogelzang, and this is episode #482.
As part of our Smithsonian Associates author interview series, our guest today is Deepak Chopra, appearing at Smithsonian Associates via Zoom, Sept. 29…more details on our web site and at Smithsonian Associates.
How can an ancient practice help us face an uncertain future, especially in times during COVID? Two and a half millennia ago, the Buddha taught that inner peace and freedom could be developed and cultivated through training in the mindfulness, compassion, and insight found in the practice of meditation. And research in neuroscience confirms key understandings of this timeless tradition.
Join us today with Deepak Chopra as he draws on his new book Total Meditation: Practices in Living the Awakened Life to examine why meditation can serve as a potentially powerful tool to meet the challenges of the moment.
Deepak Chopra, who has been at the forefront of the meditation revolution for the last 30 years, shares how meditation awakens new levels of awareness that can cultivate a clear vision, heal suffering in your mind and body, and help recover who you really are. He leads a short meditation practice to get you started on the path to a centered self-meditation practice at the conclusion of the program.
My thanks to Deepak Chopra, who will be presenting at Smithsonian Associates on September 29, 2020, via Zoom. Details are available on our web site, or at Smithsonian Associates. Deepak Chopra’s new book Total Meditation: Practices in Living the Awakened Life is available, too. Check out the details on the Smithsonian Associates web site.
