It’s time to be in charge of your worrying thoughts, tune in to learn how!

 

Episode Summary: 

In this week’s episode of the Rise Station Podcast, we’re learning a brand new cognitive behavioral strategy that will help us become in charge of our anxious thought patterns. 

 

Check out the complete episode to learn what questions you need to reflect upon to initiate an investigation about your worrying thoughts and then how to limit their occurrence throughout your day.

  1. You set a calendar event for the time and time frame given to worry. 

 

  1. You go through your day and if a worrying thought comes up outside of the designated worry time, you acknowledge the thought and write it down. You will then set that thought aside.

 

  1. During worry time, you will journal all of your concerns, potential problems, solutions, and so on when the timer goes off, you have to set aside worrying, take a deep breath, and postpone any worrying thoughts you may have until the next day's worry shift.
