info_outlineWelcome to Unicorn Square Stories! This is Bridget Fairy and Unicorn Liaison I am excited to bring you another exciting edition of Unicorn Square stories welcome to episode 4.
We are still hanging with the Magical Creatures Sketch artist, otherwise known as my Dad.
We are going to have a fun time today with the changing of the season here On Unicorn Square.
Today’s story takes a different turn. When I started out on this podcast journey I was so excited to tell my Dad all of the very fantastic animals and creatures I have met on Unicorn Square. He also was helping me by drawing what I have seen and bringing my sightings to life through his magical sketches. I can sew but drawing I have been having a challenging time with. It is definitely still a work in progress.
However, in today’s episode, we take a turn. No one likes a one-sided conversation hahaha and my Dad was inspired to draw a picture for me. As it turns out it really made a lot of sense and the timing was perfect. In last week's episode I discussed how timing is everything in nature. There are no accidents at all and every encounter has a much deeper message to tell you.
I have been seeing a lot of wild turkeys lately, nearly every day and while it was really fun to see them I really didn’t think much of it because they were just wild turkeys and I might have been dare I say not thinking that they were super magical. I think I was judging a turkey for not being sparkle and magical. Insert big gasp here……yup I am calling myself out. Because I was not paying attention to what they had to say.
Once again there are no accidents so when my Dad had a drawing of a turkey that he magically threw into the mix….admittedly at first, I was thinking sure I will throw that in there with Thanksgiving coming up.
Thanksgiving is a wonderful day to express gratitude and gather together with friends and family. I like that idea it is lovely.
Today we will look at spirit animal.info and author Elena Harris wrote:
The Turkey is a spirit animal closely associated with honoring nature and the Earth. Symbol of abundance, this totem animal encourages us to honor our sources of nourishment, whether they are physical, emotional or spiritual. The turkey reminds us to develop a harmonious relationship with the land and our environment and consider them as foundations to our well-being and sustenance. The Turkey totem is a powerful guide to unlocking the fullness of life and feeling content with what we have instead of accumulating material belongings to seek happiness.

In this case, the turkey symbolism is a good omen. Thus it indicates that great gifts are on their way to you. However, you must also understand that this bird, like the octopus, is always a symbol of sacrifice for renewal. In other words, you have to let go of something for new things to arrive. Therefore turkey meaning reminds you that generosity will open the doors to growth and rebirth.
I also have been seeing 7 turkeys together and if we cross-reference that to the meaning behind numbers we see:
Angel Number 7 tells of a beneficial time with obstacles overcome and successes realized. happy with your life choices and are telling you that you are currently on the right path. You are encouraged to keep up the good work you have been doing they are supporting you all the way. Positive things will flow freely towards you, and this will assist you along your journey.
Number 7 tells of learning new skills, listening to your own inner-knowing, and stepping out of your comfort zone in order to further develop and advance on all levels. ou are encouraged to set a positive example for others and inspire them to seek their own passion and purpose in life.
Now if we move to Gratitude I thought it would be fun to get some quotes about that. I found that when you practice gratitude it 100 percent comes to a positive outcome.
Showing gratitude is one of the simplest yet most powerful things humans can do for each other." ~Randy Pausch
"Give thanks for a little, and you will find a lot.” ~Hausa Proverb
"Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days of the year because it reminds us to give thanks and to count our blessings. Suddenly, so many things become so little when we realize how blessed and lucky we are.” ~Joyce Giraud
"Be present in all things and thankful for all.” ~Maya Angelou
“When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed.” ~Maya Angelou
“It is not joy that makes us grateful; it is gratitude that makes us joyful.” ~David Steindl-Rast
“I am grateful for what I am and have. My thanksgiving is perpetual.” ~Henry David Thoreau
I have a fairy gratitude tree sign that I write down my gratitudes and place them in the tree. ……….
Auntyflo.com has this to say:
Assisting with weather forecasting: It should be noted that turkey also shows a disturbance during bad weather conditions, the reason why the ancient culture used them to foretell the future. Up to this day even the breastbone of the turkey is used to predict the winter, light shades for a mild winter and dark colour for a harsh one.
Moreover, turkeys also remind us to cultivate our skills, it is significant to know and be one with our surroundings, be aware of what might happen. There are things that will happen that might jeopardize your life, turkey is a good teacher that we should avoid unnecessary confrontation, just by utilizing our skills.
Turkeys also teach us to be grateful for the things that come our way. Not only that, but turkeys also remind us to appreciate everything we possess now, instead of asking and seeking new things. Never forget to share what you have, be charitable to those who are in need so that you will receive the same grace when you are in need.
Male turkeys also teach us to be proud and to showcase our strength. Spread our wings and reveal our true colours. It’s better to be appreciated for who you are than for who you are not. Deliberate that things that make you wonderful as a person.
But having said that, turkeys also teach us when to use our energy effectively, this creature has a perfect sense of timing, it knows when to use its ability to outrun predators. Turkeys remind us not to waste our energy on unimportant things.
Overall, this creature is the best example of appreciation, gratefulness, and conservation of energy.
Now we lean into our Nature Break: This week saw our first snowfall and I shoveled some snow about 1 foot at the end of the driveway. I forgot what a workout it was……..thank you Mother Nature it felt awesome to be outside shoveling.
I was also reminded of the gorgeous snowflakes falling all these years later I still believe they sparkle more than the finest diamonds. It truly is magic. Not to mention all the fabulous colors that appear with the fresh snow reflections. It is dreamy.
Of particular note this week, I was informed by the fairies and unicorns that when you are outside, place your hand on a tree and express gratitude to the tree and the earth. They can totally hear you. Like anyone that might be in the soup a little word of gratitude and encouragement really goes a long way. So if we think of the earth as a person, really who doesn’t like to hear that message? It is extremely important and very much appreciated. Don’t overthink it just a simple “I think you are amazing earth, and tree thank you for bringing me joy and a smile. Not to mention color on my cheeks. Then I giggle a little bit."
