The Turtle Fairy ~ Magical Creatures Sketch Artist Episode 5

Welcome to Unicorn Square Stories! This is Bridget Fairy and Unicorn Liaison I am excited to bring you another exciting edition welcome to episode 5. 

 

 We are still hanging with the Magical Creatures Sketch artist, otherwise known as my Dad. For those of you just tuning in, my Dad is an amazing artist and he has been drawing the magical creatures I have seen on my adventures. He also has been throwing in a couple of his own, which has been fun. This is a very fun project and the artwork is available to you on my website unicornsquare.com in the shop there is a collection of the magical creatures sketch artist. The most popular are the color changing mugs. They start out as a black mug and as you add in a hot beverage the amazing artwork is revealed. It is totally magic. 

 

 

Today’s story takes us to one of my favorite secret places on unicorn square. You see I love to share my stories but I do not reveal where they exactly took place as it is more fun to encourage you to find your own magic. All too often we find ourselves in life seeing something awesome and we want to go there. I come from the line of thinking where it is way more magical for you to blaze your own adventure. Magical creatures are everywhere, they will make themselves known to you when the time is right. Outcomes are rarely super awesome when you Chase magic. 

 

Todays magical creature is my friend the turtle. Oh they are super magical and they make me laugh sooooo much. I like to call them Fairies of the Sea. Really who said a. Fairies can only be on land? Also the only thing magical in the open are mermaids. What if all along we have been overlooking the turtle because they are enormous and move super slow? Each time I like to make a wish when I see one and then I laugh as I see them crawling so slowly …..if they are granting my wish it takes a while and they kind of have a chagrin and they are the very lesson that sometimes wishes take time to percolate. When you Rush them it is usually half of your wish. 

 

I always like the analogy that when you go to a restaurant you are very specific when you place your order……dear person assisting me today aka server - I am sure there is a better word for this in the future. Anyway…I would like 2 eggs over easy with a side of bacon, hash browns,coffee and a fresh squeezed orange juice. She leaves and you do not stress over wondering if you are going to get your order. Eventually you receive it. 

 

Similarly when I chat with the turtle and send out my wish or intention they remind me to chill out and go with the flow they are working on it. Eventually even though it seems like forever your wish will happen. 

 

One day I was swimming with the turtles and I will never forget to my right the sun was setting over the mountains and to my left a rainbow was appearing over the point. And for a moment I actually thought to myself oh my goodness I died and this must be heaven…..it took me a minute to regain my senses I was backtracking -  no I worked today and then drove here and I feel like there are not any time lapses where that could have happened……it was very surreal and then right at that moment a turtle swam underneath me and his fin hit the side of my leg….like he was telling me to snap out of it. It was pretty funny moment and from then on I had a super fun relationship with the honu. 

 

Now as for magical creatures they are said to have protective qualities for children. and it represents a spiritual connection to the sea and mother nature

 

The Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle, known as “Honu,” symbolizes good luck, endurance and long life. Turtles can show up as a person's guardian spirit, known as “Aumakua.” When lost, turtles are excellent navigators and often find their way home.

 

 

And now a message from the fairies: I was informed by the fairies and unicorns that when you are outside, place your hand on a tree and express gratitude to the tree and the earth. They can totally hear you. Like anyone that might be in the soup a little word of gratitude and encouragement really goes a long way. So if we think of the earth as a person, really who doesn’t like to hear that message? It is extremely important and very much appreciated. Don’t overthink it just a simple “I think you are amazing earth, and tree thank you for bringing me joy and a smile. Not to mention color on my cheeks. Then I giggle a little bit."
