Today Patty is talking about her new favorite TV show. It may seem like a departure from her usual topics, but at the heart of it, it’s about magic. On brand for Patty and the Space for Magic podcast.  

The Apple TV show Ted Lasso already has fans worldwide. Watching the show will make you feel like the world is a better, happier place. If this sounds unexpected or maybe even implausible, you are not alone. But it’s true!  

Magic is not something predictable or controllable. We know that our responsibility is to do our part, with intention and surrender and trust that the Universe will do the rest.  

The show reminded me that if we can create space for others to be their best, they benefit from our generosity. It’s a common theme in the show. Giving others the benefit of the doubt is a key personality trait of the main character.  

One of the other threads of the story is about kindness. The show demonstrates how the impact of grace and thoughtfulness gives people the chance to show up as their best selves. 

The show will also make you feel better about yourself. Patty shares how being kind to ourselves is important too. How much better would your day go if you truly extended compassion to yourself?  

You don’t have to watch the show to do that. All of us can be kind and patient with ourselves and others. Each of us can extend grace to others. We can also allow others to extend grace to us when we can’t do it on our own.
