Here's a quick episode about healthy habits you can implement today for a healthier week! Cook at home! Try to cook a meal from home at least 4 days this week. Sleep! Try to get at least 7-8 hours so you are fully rested. Schedule your workouts. Set aside time for fitness and make it nonnegotiable. Get outside! Take the dog for a walk or read outside for some fresh air. Practice a positive mindset. Pray, meditate, read daily affirmations. Reach out to a friend you haven't talked to in a while and catch up Eat breakfast! Do not skip this meal!! Reduce your caffeine intake. Write down something you are grateful for each day. Eat more whole foods and less processed. Veggies, fruits, etc! The birth of our second child, Luca , did not go how we expected. It ended up being one of the most challenging and stressful times in our life. However, it has a happy ending and we now have our son home and are settling into life as a family of four! One of the biggest issues I see people face when it comes to their wellness goals, business goals, social media, healthy habits, etc is lack of consistency. In this episode I dive into tips that have helped me to be consistent/build consistency in different areas of my life that you can use too! Consistency has a lot to do with MINDSET & COMMITMENT! Ask yourself these questions: Determine your commitment level: Do you want this bad enough? Are you making the time for it? Why is it important to you? Remove roadblocks : What factors are stopping you from being consistent? How can you address those/make changes? Start with small goals: This will help you achieve quick wins and build momentum. Drop the all or nothing mindset! Being consistent is following through with the commitment you’ve made to yourself. Consistency builds trust with clients, audience, family and YOURSELF! Creating A Gratitude Practice
It’s impossible to be happy and ungrateful at the same time! Think about that for a second. If you’re practicing gratitude daily you are finding joy daily. Just having another day of life on earth is a freakin GIFT! So how can you practice gratitude more often? Start or end your day with gratitude - Keep a gratitude journal. Text, call, mail a card to someone in your life that you’re grateful for and let them know you appreciate them. Visual reminders - Post quotes and images around your house to remind you of what you can be grateful for. Prayers of thanksgiving - if you pray daily don’t just pray for blessing and for help through challenges but also thank God for the blessings you already have right now. What did past challenges teach you/give you? Look back through old journals, photo albums, social media posts of hard times in your life and make notes about what helped you get through them and what lessons you learned.
