In 2007, Joel published the very first article to the public on the microbiome and the relationship to weight loss, creating a name for himself in the wellness space. By 2009, he had created the first nutrition system based on gut health to help people lose weight and feel better, called the VEEP Nutrition System, and it was used by large cities, like Phoenix and Houston, as well as large corporations, like Technicolor and a major hospital chain.
