652: How to Build Your Network to Achieve Your Goals with Jayson Gaignard
Nobody achieves anything meaningful alone. Yet, we’re led to believe that success means being “self-made.” The truth is, the relationships you surround yourself with can either keep you where you are or help bridge the gap between where you are today and the person that you aspire to become. Today, I’m joined by my good friend Jayson Gaignard, author of and founder of Mastermind Talks. When Jayson got married, he had only two people at his bachelor party: his brother and brother-in-law. But today, he’s created an extraordinary network of entrepreneurs and leaders and just recently sold 20,000 copies of his book on Kickstarter, despite having roughly 2,500 Instagram followers. In our conversation, Jayson shares three simple questions to help you intentionally decide who belongs in your life and why generosity is the foundation of meaningful relationships. He also explains why asking someone “How can I help you?” doesn’t actually help the person you want to help, how to make people feel genuinely seen, and how you can build relationships with extraordinary people even if you don’t have money, status, influence, or an existing network. 650: Mark Allen Ruegg: A Living Miracle
What would you do if you were told you were diagnosed with cancer and had only 4 to 6 months to live? That’s exactly what happened to today’s guest. Two and a half years ago, Mark Allen Ruegg was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer that had already spread to his liver and lymph nodes. His doctors hoped chemotherapy could stabilize the cancer and give him more time, but Mark wasn't willing to accept that as the best possible outcome. He wanted to do everything in his power to beat the odds. After discovering the documentary Heal, Mark began taking an integrative approach that combined conventional treatment with major changes to his diet, meditation, spirituality, exercise, stress, and mindset. Within months, his scans showed no evidence of cancer, and even his doctor was stunned when he could no longer find the tumor in Mark's pancreas. But Mark's story didn't end there. Three months ago, a tumor was discovered in his pancreas again. The fears and unknowns came back with a vengeance, sending him into what he describes as a deep, dark place. In our conversation, Mark shares how that recurrence forced him to confront his fear, return to the fundamentals of his Healing Recipe, and recognize the missing ingredient he needed most: unwavering faith. We talked about why healing doesn't have to be an either/or choice between conventional and holistic medicine, what it means to surrender without giving up, and how the combination of unwavering faith and extraordinary effort can help you navigate even the most difficult moments of your life. KEY TAKEAWAYS Why Mark refused to accept a terminal prognosis Combining conventional treatment with an integrative approach The lifestyle changes Mark made after his diagnosis How Mark's cancer disappeared after his initial diagnosis Why Mark believes fear became his greatest challenge What happened when Mark's cancer returned Unwavering faith and extraordinary effort leads to results How to get Mark's Healing Recipe of seven ingredients The journey to becoming someone who fears less Get The Full Show Notes To get full access to today's show notes, including audio, transcript, and links to all the resources mentioned, visit Subscribe, Rate & Review I would love if you could subscribe to the podcast and leave an honest rating & review. 647: Freedom From Suffering with Peter Crone (REPLAY)
What if the limitations you believe about yourself aren't the truth but a prison of your mind's design? Today, we'll explore how our deepest struggles—feelings of fear, not being enough, or childhood trauma—are rooted not in reality but in subconscious stories we've come to accept as true. Those invisible narratives keep us in a state of suffering and prevent us from reaching our full potential. Peter Crone, known as The Mind Architect, has helped world-class athletes, executives, and everyday people rewire their subconscious beliefs and unlock "the power of infinite possibility." Having tragically lost both of his parents by the age of 17, Peter learned firsthand the pain of loss and the impact of unconscious trauma. But rather than letting it define him, he used it as a catalyst to understand the inner architecture of the mind, and now helps others break free from their own constraints. In this conversation, Peter guides me through a live coaching experience and unpacks the nature of emotional suffering, the origins of limiting beliefs, and why healing starts with awareness. If you've ever felt stuck, burdened by the events in your past, or disconnected from your true self, this episode is a masterclass on navigating negative emotions and returning to a place of freedom, love, and possibility. KEY TAKEAWAYS How early life trauma wires subconscious beliefs that shape our identity. The difference between emotional pain and psychological suffering. Why affirmations often don’t work—and the language used to dissolve limiting beliefs. The 10 “primal prisons” that keep us stuck in patterns of fear, shame, and inadequacy. How to access inner freedom through self-inquiry and conscious awareness. A powerful mindset shift for men and women around emotional expression and empathy. 646: What You Want Is Inside of You with Hal Elrod
Why is it that we’ll spend most of our lives believing that happiness, peace, and fulfillment are waiting for us somewhere in the future? Maybe it'll happen after the next promotion, once our finances improve, or when our relationships get better. But what if everything you've been searching for has been not only available to you, but has been inside of you all along? In today's episode, I'm challenging one of the biggest assumptions we've been conditioned to believe: our circumstances determine our emotional well-being. I'll share why lasting peace isn't something we create by changing our lives, but something we uncover by changing our consciousness. I'll also explain why resisting reality is the true source of emotional suffering, how accepting reality can create freedom instead of complacency, and why learning to choose your mental and emotional state consciously may be the greatest superpower you can develop. KEY TAKEAWAYS Why everything you're searching for already exists within you. The hidden cost of resisting reality instead of accepting it. How to consciously choose your mental and emotional state. Why inner peace creates better decisions, relationships, and results. A simple perspective shift that can transform every moment of your life. If machines can outthink us and eventually outwork us, what does that mean for our careers, our purpose, and even our identity? Perhaps an even better question is: what does it mean to be human in the age of AI? Today, I’m joined by Jeff Burningham. Jeff is an entrepreneur, investor, and author who has built more than a dozen companies valued at over a billion dollars and recently released his powerful new book, Unlike most conversations about AI that focus on productivity, efficiency, or making more money, Jeff explores something much deeper: how AI can actually help humanity reconnect with wisdom, presence, empathy, and the qualities that make us uniquely human. In our conversation, Jeff explains why AI is not just a technological disruption, but a spiritual challenge and a mirror reflecting humanity back to itself. We talk about fear, optimism, consciousness, emotional regulation, and why wisdom—not intelligence—may become the most valuable human trait moving forward. If you’ve felt uncertain or overwhelmed about where humanity is headed, this episode will challenge the way you think about both AI and yourself. KEY TAKEAWAYS Why AI Forces Us To Reevaluate Humanity Why AI Is A Spiritual Challenge For Humanity The Human Qualities AI Can Never Replicate Jeff Addresses The Fears People Have About AI Fear vs. Optimism In The Age Of AI Using AI As A Bridge Back To Human Connection How To Use AI Wisely And Mindfully The Real Challenge Facing Humanity Right Now The Choice Is To Focus On Who You Choose To Be Simple Questions That Reveal Your Awareness What Jeff Hopes Readers Take Away From His Book The Conversation About AI Humanity Needs To Have Get The Full Show Notes To get full access to today's show notes, including audio, transcript, and links to all the resources mentioned, visit Subscribe, Rate & Review I would love if you could subscribe to the podcast and leave an honest rating & review. 634: Giving Away $1M to Strangers on a 2,000 Mile Bike Ride with Matt King
Imagine the possibilities if you stopped waiting until you felt ready and just committed to the idea you’ve had that could make a huge impact on other people’s lives. If you’ve ever felt the pull to make a bigger difference but told yourself you didn’t have enough time, money, or clarity to begin, this conversation will challenge that excuse in the best possible way. It’s a powerful reminder that impact doesn’t start when everything is figured out. It starts the moment you decide to take action. Today, I’m joined by my friend Matt King, CEO of GoBundance, who is preparing to ride his bike 2,000 miles from Mexico to Canada over 13 consecutive days! Why is he doing it? His goal is to raise over $1 million that will be given directly to people in overlooked communities along the route. No nonprofit overhead, just real people helping others in ways that will make a huge impact immediately. In our conversation, Matt shares why he committed to this mission before he knew exactly how it would come together, and how that decision set everything in motion. We talk about how great outcomes are achieved by taking action first, what it means to lead by example for your kids, and why so many of us spend our lives waiting for permission instead of trusting that we’ll find the way once we begin. 632: Your Brain Works Exactly Like ChatGPT with Lucy Osborne
Why is it so easy to let negative thoughts creep into our minds, even when we know they’re holding us back? For many people, negative self-talk can feel so familiar that it starts to sound like the truth, even when it isn’t. Today, we’re exploring how your thoughts shape beliefs, how those beliefs influence your reality, and why making positive changes often begins with the language you use toward yourself. Lucy Osborne is the global leader of intenSati, a movement and mindfulness practice that combines spoken affirmations with physical exercise, and the voice behind the guided S.A.V.E.R.S. practices in the Miracle Morning app. Over a decade ago, she walked into her first intenSati class believing that if she could just get smaller, her life would finally get better. By the end of the class, she experienced real joy and realized that nothing had changed on the outside, only the input she was feeding her mind. In our conversation, Lucy explains why the brain works a lot like ChatGPT, finding evidence for whatever you feed it. She explains how a belief is simply a repeated thought and why you don’t have to believe a new affirmation before you start saying it. We also talk about how guided S.A.V.E.R.S. can help you interrupt morning routines on autopilot, shift your inner voice, and begin creating more joy, confidence, and intention in your life. 626: Surrendering Your Ego to Connect With Your Soul with Kyle Cease
What if the strategies you’ve used to avoid pain are the same ones keeping you disconnected from your soul? So much of our desire to strive and optimize is simply the ego’s way of protecting us from discomfort. We call it growth, but in reality, it’s avoidance. My guest today is my good friend Kyle Cease. Kyle was named one of Comedy Central’s Top 10 Comics to Watch in 2009, and he’s the author of my favorite book I read in 2025, The Illusion of Money. He was on the path to Hollywood stardom until something deeper called him to do what he was destined to do: become a spiritual teacher. Not to achieve more fame or money, but to develop a deeper connection to God, truth, and spiritual growth. In this episode, we go deeper than I’ve ever gone on this podcast. We talk about how the internet is bombarding us with first-level insights, why “positive thinking” fails to overcome our personal struggles, and how our addiction to impact, productivity, and even self-help can keep us from real healing. Kyle also shares how he’s learning to let his ego die, how suffering is necessary in order to truly heal, and why connecting with your soul on a deeper level will unlock your biggest breakthroughs to achieve your goals.
