Hosted by Pripo Teplitsky, LCMHC, a psychotherapist specializing in relationship issues. Through the experience of relationships, we get to see and understand ourselves in ways we can't do alone. This conversational podcast takes a casual approach to deep and personal topics. Pripo and his guests are not afraid to bring a little humor into their discussions (or his solocasts) and share intimate details about their lives and relationships. For anyone with questions, concerns, or just plain curiosity about relationships, this is the perfect podcast for you.

235. Don’t Lose Yourself in Your Relationships
Yvonne Rainbow Teplitsky is the founder of Artsy Goddess Studio, where she actively carries out her role in helping others and the planet heal. Rainbow is passionate about art, as seen in the upcycled clothing she creates from second-hand materials, as well as the visual arts she creates, such as murals, paintings, and tapestries. She also helps women transform through voice-empowering workshops, and she co-facilitates couples retreats and workshops with me. Not losing yourself in a relationship is about maintaining your autonomy, self-worth, and unique identity while building a shared life with someone. It’s the art of “we” without letting the “me” fade away. Staying true to yourself ensures you remain a whole, fulfilled person, which ultimately strengthens the relationship by fostering mutual respect and authenticity. In this solocast I talk about asking for what we want and need in our relationships. It can be tricky, but it’s about clear communication and mutual respect. It’s also about building a dynamic where both of you feel safe, heard, and willing to stretch for each other. The deep wants always have a “root,” and it is very good to identify it. 231. Heartshare: Managing Conflict - Perpetual vs. Solvable Issues
In this solocast I talk about the different types of problems or issues that come up in our relationships: perpetual (or unresolvable) vs. solvable ones. The key to relationship success is not eliminating perpetual problems (which is impossible), but rather learning to navigate them with respect and humor while effectively resolving the ones that can be solved. Healthy couples recognize which category their conflicts fall into and approach them accordingly. Related Content: Other Podcast Episodes Let’s Talk About It! 228. HeartShare: Is Stubbornness Poisoning Your Relationships?
In this solocast I talk about the ways stubbornness shows up in our relationships and how detrimental it can be to the flow of connection and harmony. Stubbornness can indeed poison relationships by creating a toxic environment where one or both partners feel the need to always be right, leading to conflicts and a lack of mutual respect. In a relationship, stubbornness can manifest as an inability to admit when one is wrong or to compromise, which can escalate minor issues into major conflicts.
