Relationship Building with a “Giver’s Gain” Approach with Jason Avery
Today we are going to chat with Jason Avery, a.k.a., “Tampa Bay’s Networking King”! Jason has built several very successful businesses, but just as remarkable are the caring relationships he develops with every employee. By getting to know his employees, he builds deep trust, loyalty, and close relationships that benefit everyone. He truly invests in his employees. The core values he embodies are the acronym, PIE. PIE stands for: Performance, Integrity and Empowerment. He empowers his people to be as successful as they can be. He makes sure they have exactly what they need to succeed in their job, so they can feel good about what they do and how they contribute. Jason lives the “Giver’s Gain” philosophy. He came to learn that by helping and coaching others, instead of chasing the sale, networking possibilities exploded, and he became known as “the connector” in business relationships, the guy who always had a quality referral. Jason is very active in his chapter of BNI, and is one of the group’s influencers, which together have grown the group to the second-largest in the country-- (Per Jason, soon to be number one!). He shares experiences, wisdom, and tips on developing and nurturing relationships, whether in the office or while playing 18 holes. He encourages 1-to-1’s to be both professional, and fun, to really connect with another person, really listen. He states, “Everyone that I talk to needs something, and if I am a good conversationalist and a good listener, I'll figure out what that is”. Have you heard of the DISC personality types? Jason describes the different personality types; how to recognize them, identify them, so you can adapt to them. Understanding behavioral style differences will help you know how to best communicate with people; what is important to them, and what motivates them, to guide them toward achieving their full potential. Breakthrough Leadership - Achieving Success, and Driving Results with Gordon Tredgold
People want to hear about your failures! They can relate to you and connect with you much easier when you share your mistakes and failures. Gordon Tredgold’s last book, Fast : 4 Principles Every Business Needs to Achieve Success and Drive Result is about understanding failure, and the four causes of failure. Lessons learned from failure can actually accelerate the speed at which you succeed. You will often develop better focus, more accountability, more simplicity and transparency. “If you fix these four things, you’ll put yourself on a fast track to success”. Big successes aren’t actually big successes. They are an accumulation of small, simplified successes. So identify a small success, break it down, show people how to do it. Then it's just a matter of repeating that. As you repeat it, you might find a way of doing it faster or better that allows you to accelerate. The excitement to deliver is a consequence of simplification and empowerment. You simplify to empower people; and when they're empowered, they become excited. When they're excited, they deliver. Gordon describes how to tackle the four causes of failure, and how to turn them around to grow crazy success. Links: Website: Twitter: Facebook: Instagram: LinkedIn:

How To Re-Write Your Mindset with John Michael Morgan

How To Re-Write Your Mindset with John Michael Morgan
The key to building referrals is never direct promotion, it's relationships. People need to feel significant, important; and if you can make them feel significant, you're both going to win! People are so much more than what they DO. Ask questions; find out what their passion is, what is important in their life. Connect with them on a deeper, more meaningful level. John Michael’s philosophy is “My goal is to make people glad that they came in contact with me”. He strives to make a friend and build a strong relationship first, before doing business. It all starts with feeding your mind only positive things, and creating the right mindset to prepare for success. “Our mind is like a garden, every seed grows. So if we plant something negative, that’s gonna grow. If we plant something positive, that's going to grow”. We must remain laser-focused on only those things that will promote success, achievement, growth, and the right mindset. We should start our day strong. Whatever our morning routine, whether we journal, meditate, pray, do yoga, workout, or whatever …. That puts you in power and gives you a fresh start. Looking at every day as a completely fresh start clears any mistakes that you made yesterday, and allows you a freeing, positive mindset. Website: Facebook: Instagram: LinkedIn: John Michaels Book:

The Business of Building People to 7 Figures with Dr Doug Firebaugh
We're not in the business of marketing. We're not in the business of recruiting. We're not in the business of products. We're not in the business of anything except helping people. We help people through our products and through our business. We're here to help. That's why we're put here on earth. Most people don't believe in themselves. Doug’s whole passion in life is to serve people in a way that helps them reposition their minds toward advancement and success, to build a seven figure life. He encourages people to lean on his belief in them, as they learn to grow their belief in themselves. That's his number one goal; he will show you who you really are, not who you've been told you are. Think about the kind of effect you are going to have on people through your actions. If it's effective, you're going to get the right results. In this business, there are only two types of leaders, leaders that the company depends on and leaders who depend on the company. You must become a leader that the company depends on in order to grow your business. That not only gives you leverage, but that gives you favor. Doug has coached multiple number-one earners, and has trained millions of people through seminars, keynote speeches, CDs, and books. He loves to see clients set big goals, and then exceed them!

Being Referable - Generating Business Referrals Without Asking with Stacey Brown Randall
Feeling like you’re the president of the Business Failure Club? Stacey’s been there, done that, and got the T-shirt. After two failed businesses, she realized the problem. She had no system in place to bring prospects onto her business, into her pipeline. She needed a mechanism to grow her business. She started a productivity and business coaching practice, but still could not get any referrals. She had to come up with a different way to get referrals, but methods she researched just didn’t fit her personality; they were either gimmicky; involved asking, or paying a commission. It was the “sticky client experience”, developing the relationship, and doing things that made her referable, that finally enabled her to break through, and see referrals flow in. She learned the importance of connecting with prospects. Her actions became relationship-based, rather than work-based; planting trust and getting clients to a place where they felt comfortable referring her. People had to first like and trust her before they’d refer her. Nurturing relationships, communication, and respect are key to developing and growing your referral base. It does no good to simply meet expectations; that’s a given. People expect you to vastly exceed expectations. Stacey will share with you how to WOW your prospects and clients, and “hit it out of the ballpark”!

How to Become a Power Agent in Real Estate with Darryl Davis

How to Become a Power Agent in Real Estate with Darryl Davis
We don't sell people, we serve people and we should focus on not closing people, but coaching people. Those two distinctions are really powerful because people don't want to be closed. They want to be coached. We help them see the choices that they have, and that's what a coach does. People can be overwhelmed or confused or worried in a real estate transaction. What we do is help lift the fog by showing people their choices. You can do this, or you can do that. Here are the results and possible consequences based on your choice; but it's your choice. Several years ago, Darryl created a year-long process, called The Power Program. The concept is that it takes 30 days to create a habit, so it makes sense that agents focus on just getting good habits in one aspect at a time of the business. Twelve months to master 12 habits. This led to How to Become a Power Agent in Real Estate, which hit number one several times on Amazon. He empowers and coaches and trains agents on how to speak from their heart, not their head. The new real estate agents often get held back by fear of knowing there's so much that they don't know. That gives them insecurity. They have to get past that and find their own uniqueness in what they bring to the table. It’s that whole concept of integrity and passion for serving, not selling. Darryl shares tips and strategies for real estate agents to build important relationships, increase productivity, and make the deal, by serving people. It’s getting back to basics, caring for people, and genuinely working with others best interests in mind.

Becoming free through Franchise ownership with Tariq Johnson
Tariq was a very young, very successful Financial Advisor. He made great money, had just bought his first house. But it wasn’t his heart’s desire. He decided to leave that career to pursue his dream and passion. He wanted to be an entrepreneur. He wanted to go from employee to entrepreneur. It is very powerful to actually take the action to go after what it is that you want in your business, in your life. It is leaving the “known” for the “unknown”, leaving behind the “golden handcuffs” which offer security. Tariq was driven to reinvent himself, to shift, to take a risk. He made his first YouTube video as a teen. It was about a minute long, He wanted to inspire people and motivate people, but it never happened. He never did it. He never made that leap because of fear. A few years later, he still had this dream to become a YouTube personality; but more importantly, to impact people, to be able to share his voice, his story, and encourage, motivate, and inspire others. He created a couple of videos, but then got inconsistent. He went nine months without posting a video on YouTube. In those nine months though, the videos he had posted started to take off. They started to get thousands of views and hundreds of comments. And it sky-rocketed. With the help of a mentor, and a lot of persistence and discipline, Tariq has built wild success on YouTube.

Multiply Your Best Clients for Exponential Growth with Bill Cates
It's so hard to get through all the noise and all the messaging these days. The average person gets at least 3000 marketing messages a day; it comes at us from a lot of different directions. So how do you cut through all of that? The title of Bill’s newest book is Radical Relevance: Sharpen Your Marketing Message and Cut Through the Noise. It’s about getting people’s attention, in a very cluttered market. To attract the right people, you must have the right market, and attract the right market with the right message, to the right person at the right time. To create a 100% referral-based or introductions-based business, there are the three main things to consider: Engagement, Leverage, Connection: Create engagement early on in the relationship; Use that leverage to ask for referrals; and Get connected; ask for the referral. One of the most important things is something Bill calls a Value Discussion or a Value Check-in. Check in often with clients or customers for genuine feedback. What are we doing right? What needs to change? Resolve problems quickly. The most valuable part or aspect of sales and marketing is the concept of empathy. We understand their situation. We have an appreciation for their situation. We offer solutions. We become the trusted go-to guy.

Talking The Talk and Walking The Walk: Integrity and Ethics in the Workplace With Rob Chesnut

Talking The Talk and Walking The Walk: Integrity and Ethics in the Workplace With Rob Chesnut
Integrity and Ethics in the Workplace. Usually given a cursory mention as part of an un-stimulating new job orientation process. It’s dry, and usually represented as a box to check when completed. Intentional integrity (a term coined by Mr Chesnut), is the idea that if you want to act with integrity, you need to be intentional about it. It’s more than a 20-minute presentation or video, or a faded poster in the break room behind the restroom door. True intentional integrity calls for transparency, honesty, “talking the talk and walking the walk”, and holds true for everyone in the organization. Most importantly, it must be demonstrated by top leadership. It requires 100% buy-in, and starts at the top. An organization or company that operates with intentional integrity is not only one that attracts plenty of satisfied employees, but attracts more customers.

Bring The Value: Going above and beyond in consistency With Chris Meekins
Chris was just one of those guys born to be an entrepreneur. As a young teen, growing up on the wrong side of the tracks, he knew there was something more for him. He just had to find his niche. He soon found some success in car sales, and selling older cars from his driveway was when he realized the true secret to sales. It was appreciation. It was about customer respect and care. Treating others as you would want to be treated. It paid off in so many exciting ways! Not only was his business growing successfully, but Chris was earning a reputation for honesty and integrity. If he couldn’t help a customer, he would find another reputable salesman who could. He became known as The Connector in the community. The business grew. It expanded into other ventures. He was finally making the kind of money he needed to improve his and his mom’s lives. Chris had a significant turning point in his life when he was approached by a church pastor to partner up to repair cars for single moms in the congregation. He didn’t understand; this church was caring for those less fortunate? At no cost? Kind of like he and his mom started out. Again, another important Life Lesson learned! He had found a way to impact so many in the congregation! And it was in helping others that Chris was drawn to Jesus Christ!! People need help today. People need help, even if it's just an encouraging word. So we need to do our part as God’s children to go out there and seek out those who need a hand up. Opportunities are everywhere.
