Brian plays with ; ; recording artist John Beasley’s that plays tribute to big band sound and the music of Thelonious Monk; and, with Saxophone player who honors the music of John Coltrane. Playing since childhood, Brian has enjoyed a career filled with music and fun. He arranged horn sections on the Dixie Chicks album that won 2006. His music spans dance, jazz, big band and hip hop sounds. We have a great conversation about the art of making music and the balance between practice, discipline and art. Brian describes how he gave himself the space to discover how he was going to truly express himself musically (min 50.0).
