EVERYTHING THOUGHT LEADERSHIP
I was there for the advent of thought leadership in the late 1980s, when it spun off of a concept known as "Business Re-engineering." Helping clients develop superior expertise for market became my career ever since then. In that time, I founded Bloom Group, dedicated to helping clients write persuasive articles on the problems most important to their companies. Their articles have appeared in the likes of Forbes, MIT Sloan Management Review, Financial Times, Bloomberg BusinessWeek and more. I also helped publish two bestselling books: "Monetizing Innovation" (by Madhavan Ramanujam and George Tack of Simon-Kucher & Partners) and "Mighty Midsized Companies" (by Robert Sher of CEO to CEO). Fast-forward to present day, and I realize just how much the field of thought leadership has grown. Use of the term "thought leadership" in books has more than tripled since 1990, and more than 30 books dedicated specifically to thought leadership have released in that time. In light of the field's growing importance, I have taken it upon myself to create a podcast explaining it all in detail: every nuance of thought leadership and thought leadership marketing. "Everything Thought Leadership" combines my 35 years of helping clients market superior expertise with the stories and insights of influential thought leaders. If you want the insider perspective from some of the most pioneering minds in the business, then this podcast is for you.

CAREER UNICORNS
I’m Samorn Selim. Welcome to the Career Unicorns - Spark Your Joy Podcast. I’m a lawyer turned career coach on a mission for us to take our careers from dread to joy. Growing up as the daughter of poor Lao refugees, I was the underdog. Against all odds, I made it to a top 10 law school and landed a job in Big Law. As an outsider, I was told that I was lucky to even be there and that I had to pay my dues. After coaching over 1,000 clients, I now realize that the idea that you have to pay your dues and work in a toxic place is a myth. We can face our challenges head on, do work we are passionate about, and work with good people to make a big impact. So even as we struggle, we can find a sense of belonging.
