A Breast Cancer Diary with Kathleen Moss

I'm back for a short season interviewing my personal favorite oncologist friends... the first of which has published a wonderful book that goes on sale today! I'm sure you've heard of Dr. Teplinsky if you've been on the breast cancer end of Instagram. She's an amazing collaborator with some really wise doctors who are trying to broaden lifestyle limits that most of us breast cancer patients and survivors encounter every day--things like dry skin, brittle bones, stiff joints, and incontinance. Most oncologists don't even speak to these post menopausal and hormone blocker symptoms, but Dr. T has...

I'd hoped to make season two an even 20 episodes again, but there's more important work to be done right now....   Transcript:  Well, I had hoped to have three more episodes before closing for the summer, but I had a long month and a half off after my dad's passing, and I didn't get back on until last, uh, two weeks ago. Our world seems to be in quite a bit of turmoil and I don't feel comfortable kind of moving merrily along on my path, just ignoring that at this point in time. I've always been an activist, at...

Subscribe on: - - Join my Newsletter List here: Transcript: Hello friends and happy Spring. I do not have a guest today, and that might be shocking to some of you who've just started listening to this podcast because for the last five episodes I've had guests and that is really unusual. From the very beginning in season one, I always did one podcast episode with a guest and then followed it up with some commentary and reflection on what we talked about. Asking Ellyn about Breast Cancer show art Asking Ellyn about Breast Cancer

A Breast Cancer Diary with Kathleen Moss

My guest today is a breast cancer advocate who uses her voice and her writing to walk alongside new patients in so many ways--she has a blog, a memoir, and now she's got an AI companion for those who haven't found a human connection yet, to process their breast cancer experience with. Her web site is called "AskEllyn.ai" and that's where you can find all of her offerings.  Ellyn wrote her story of going flat just a couple of years ago while sitting in the chemo chair. Today she's collaborating with functional practitioners as well as brand new breast cancer patients to put out a...

Most oncologists don't even speak to these post menopausal and hormone blocker symptoms, but Dr. T has an amazing toolbox full of suggestions and her book is a great summary of them all. I hope you'll enjoy learning from her here.

We talk about: the Wisdom Study for those at higher risk, the safe use of estrogen and other supplemental hormone precursers like DHEA and Testosterone, the dangers of alcohol use before and after cancer, and the new ways that AI, in its current basic form, has shown to be promising for breast cancer science.

Even though Elenora is an oncoloist--she's not YOUR oncologist, so don't take her or my words as medical advice please!
