• Amanda is a Druid, science teacher and writer, drawn to the mysteries where science, spirituality, mythology and the natural world meet. With academic backgrounds in Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Mathematics, and over a decade of experience teaching science and mathematics, she spent much of her life exploring how we understand the world around us. Teaching has shaped her perspective profoundly, reminding her that knowledge is not simply about finding answers, but nurturing curiosity, asking better questions and inspiring a sense of wonder in others.

   

  Amanda is fascinated by the meeting point between scientific discovery and ancient wisdom, where the language of physics can sit alongside myth, and rational enquiry can coexist with spiritual contemplation. Walking the path of the Ovate with the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids (OBOD), she finds inspiration among ancient trees, sacred landscapes and the stories woven into the living Earth.

  Through her Substack page, The Enchanted Atlas, Amanda explores the hidden threads connecting physics, philosophy, folklore and spiritual understanding. She’s also co-writing Tree Odyssey, a lyrical journey through sacred places, the enduring presence of trees and the ways our encounters with the natural world can transform how we see ourselves.

  At the heart of Amanda’s work is a belief that curiosity can be a form of reverence. Whether in the classroom, among the trees or exploring the mysteries of existence through writing, she seeks to bring different ways of knowing into conversation.
