Tom's journey from struggling in school to becoming a successful tree surgeon owner is a testament to his determination and resilience. Despite both his parents being teachers, which put pressure on him to excel academically, he found that it didn’t work out for him. He often blamed himself for not studying hard enough. After school, he worked in various jobs, including in a wine warehouse and as a hospital porter, while going through multiple unsuccessful interviews.
His turning point came when he enrolled in a 10-week tree surgery course, where he discovered his passion for the field. Following that, he worked for a tree surgery company for 5 to 6 years, gaining valuable experience and confidence. In 2005, Tom took a leap and started his own tree surgery business. Over time, he gained a clear vision of why he was doing this—similar to others in the industry, it was the sense of freedom the work provided. He now looks back proudly at his journey, knowing he’s built something he can call his own and can take pride in doing the job well.

Tom Boswell, a Tree Surgery Business Owner initially struggling academically, he ventured into various jobs, including working in a wine warehouse and as a hospital porter. However, it was a 10-week tree surgery course that ignited his passion for the industry. After gaining valuable experience over 5 to 6 years with a tree surgery company, he took a bold step and founded his own business in 2005.
