Be You Podcast
Jill ushers in the end of an era as she decides to close the Be YOU chapter, bringing the podcast to a heartfelt close with this emotional episode in which Jill reflects on the podcast’s journey over the last 5+ years and thanks those who have been part of it. Jill discusses what it means to end something beautiful without drama or a backup plan but just because it feels right. She shares why closing the podcast isn’t a loss but rather an example of everything she has taught and lived these past few years: surrender, trust, and honoring intuition. Listen in as Jill reflects on the...

In this week’s episode of Be YOU, Jill really reaches a turning point in the 2026 Year of the Firehorse series: the moment in which we are shedding what no longer serves us. Over the past eight weeks, the podcast has been clearing space, confronting discomfort, and removing ourselves from the expectations, patterns, and attachments that hold us back, and now, we move into claiming the life that we have been imagining - honestly, vividly, and without apology! Jill imagines with her listeners Saturdays that unfold effortlessly, Mondays that begin with presence and intention, and moments that...

As the Year of the Firehorse approaches and Jill continues with this miniseries, she invites listeners into a powerful pause - one that doesn’t rush toward what’s next but first asks what must be left behind. This episode centers on a bold question: what are you truly done with? Not the polite answers, not the socially acceptable ones, but the truths that you feel in your body when no one else is watching. Jill explains why clarity around what no longer fits is the necessary doorway to creating a life that actually feels like yours! Throughout this discussion, Jill brings in her usual...

Join Jill this week as she ushers in February, reminding us that it’s still the Year of the Snake and that many of us are shedding which can truly be a challenging process. Rather than rushing to set intentions for the Year of the Fire Horse, she instead invites listeners to slow down and notice what is ready to fall away before the next chapter begins. This episode centers on a simple but powerful premise: we don’t move forward cleanly without first naming what we’re done carrying, and Jill offers a guided list of questions for listeners to ask themselves designed to help them identify...

It’s the end of January, and Jill is here to pause the momentum of her current New Year series to offer something a little bit different – an invitation to stop and ask for help. After weeks of reflecting on 2025, easing into 2026, and clearing physical and emotional clutter, Jill introduces a “pattern interrupt” or a week devoted not to doing more but rather to opening ourselves to guidance from whatever each of us understands as infinite love, source energy, God, or support beyond ourselves. Jill highlights that every person has a sovereign relationship with their own form of...

Jill returns to talking about the New Year this episode as she reframes the start of the year by separating what the calendar says from what the body, spirit, and nervous system are actually experiencing. While the 1st of January might mark a date change as per the Gregorian calendar, Jill explains why she doesn’t energetically follow it and how aligning with the lunar calendar reveals that many of us are still finishing the work of the previous year. If January has felt heavy, confusing, or unexpectedly intense, Jill offers a compassionate perspective on why delayed emotional “shedding”...

We are halfway through January already, and Jill invites listeners into a gentler, more intentional way of approaching the new year, one that says no to urgency, pressure, and the push to immediately produce results. Speaking to both longtime listeners and those who are just finding the show, she reintroduces her idea of “wintering”: a conscious pause marked by rest, quiet, and reflection as an active, not a passive, practice. She shares how choosing not to rush forward has already begun to shift things for her in really big ways. Via some personal stories, including a recent loss and a...

In her last episode, Jill filled listeners in on her upcoming 11-11-11 challenge - to give 11 genuine compliments to 11 different people over the course of 11 consecutive days, beginning on August 11th! This experiment, as Jill stresses, isn’t just about being kind or spreading positivity but is rather a close look at how we relate to self-worth, validation, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and our resistance to both giving and receiving, especially as women.
Jill explains how the true purpose of this experiment is not to “get it right” but rather to pay attention. What happens inside when you fall short of the goal, when a compliment is ignored, when it’s received too enthusiastically and you find yourself craving that response again? This episode gives you permission to not only participate imperfectly but to also allow the imperfection to teach you something.
Whether you're someone who finds it hard to say kind things about yourself, someone who hands out compliments to stay safe, or someone who rebels against rules altogether, Jill invites you to feel into what’s true for you. She encourages slowing down, tuning into your body, and exploring the emotions that come up from beneath the surface of what seems like a simple act, and she would love for you to reach out to share what you notice!
This isn’t homework. It’s not a performance. It’s an invitation to pay attention to your nervous system, your patterns, and the stories which you tell yourself about worth and connection. Above all, it’s a chance to practice being more present and more real!
