info_outlineThe Chaos of Menopause –Interview with Debi and Georgia of “The Heart Core Warriors”
Calming the Chaos welcomes Debi Wallbank and Georgia Manning of “The Heart Core Warriors.” Debi and Georgia are on a mission to eliminate the stigma and the trauma of menopause. They are both extremely passionate when talking about menopause, which can also be a source of chaos and trauma for women as they go through it.
The goal: Debi and Georgia hope to help women calm the chaos of menopause. We start by meeting Debi and Georgia and hearing their story. We then discover what happens in the body during menopause, why menopause fits the definition of chaos, and how it can be traumatic. We then talk about some ways to help the system regain balance using some tips, tools and techniques offered by Debi and Georgia.
- Introductions: Debi and Georgia
Debi
Just a few years ago, Debi struggled with a lack of self confidence. She hated looking at herself, hearing her own voice and literally ran away from the camera! Debi had no clue about online presence, engagement and creating valuable content.
Fast forward a few years and Debi has created freedom for herself by building online businesses, utilising social media to market herself and has grown her own confidence IMMEASURABLY by learning from peers, taking action and creating an authentic personal brand!
Debi now teaches other people to do the same - embrace their personalities and true values to become the best version of themselves and grow an instantly recognisable brand online as well as having exponential growth in self worth and belief.
Georgia
Not so long ago, Georgia was debilitated by a crippling lack of self connection which affected her ability to self regulate and maintain inner calm. This disconnect resulted in rampant addictions which were injurious to her mental and physical wellbeing.
Today... Through integrative holistic modalities, using a 'from the bottom up' approach, feeling centred mindfulness of the emotions and feelings, expanding awareness and uncovering beliefs that before prevented her from living a fully engaged life - now Georgia has self compassion, trust in her inner guidance system and ability to acknowledge and accept herself holistically.
Georgia now shares these methods, including Breathwork and TFT, to help others reassess themselves and their previous life experiences. In turn, this enables them to have a positive and curative response to a situation rather than reactive. This gives her Clients the belief and power to manage any scenario in an effective way.
- What is menopause, and what happens to the body and the mind during menopause:
PeriMenopause ('around menopause') is the stage where oestrogen levels start to drop. This is when symptoms are typically at their worst. You will still be menstruation during this time but it will become less frequent. This stage can on average 4 yrs but can last up to 10 years. Typically between 40-50 yrs but can start in 30s and in rare cases, 20s.
You do not enter menopause until you have had no menstruation cycles for at least 12 months.
Symptoms are still present but should start to decrease at this point. Menopause also lasts on average 4yrs.
Once symptoms have ceased, you are in postmenopause but you are never actually 'out of' or 'through' menopause.
There are 34 officially recognised symptoms but in truth there are many more (list 34+)
