Hi everyone, Carl Gould here with your #70secondCEO. Just a little over a one minute investment every day for a lifetime of results. So the question I’m asking today is in these four examples, which of the legs of your business might need some strengthening? And then we'll talk about some ideas about that, right. So now back to the analogy, I’ve got the table legs underneath it, I pull one leg out the table is still okay, I haven’t touched it, I haven’t put any pressure on it, right. It’s like your business, you might have a lost leg but if there’s no external pressure, no force...

Business Legs - Part 1 Hi everyone, Carl Gould here with your #70secondCEO. Just a little over a one minute investment every day for a lifetime of results. So if I were to put the table with four legs just like that slide, that table had four legs, okay? I would walk up, grab one leg, and pull it out. Now we have a table with three legs under it. Upon pulling out that fourth leg, what would happen to the table? (Okay, guys might wanna come off mute), yeah, it would fall--it would fall right away, not necessarily, right? So I pull out that leg; it might stay depending on how things are...

During Down Turns, Buyers Refer to Experts Hi everyone, Carl Gould here with your #70secondCEO. Just a little over a one minute investment every day for a lifetime of results. Pricing is the number one way that you communicate with your clientele. As soon as you advertise your pricing, you do two things. One is you tell them who you are. I'm the premium version, I'm the mid version, I'm the economy version, and they're all good. There's buyers for all three, so you don't have to say which one's better than the other. But one thing that either, if you are among the highest...

Cut Through the Clutter Hi everyone, Carl Gould here with your #70secondCEO. Just a little over a one minute investment every day for a lifetime of results. I eat a very plant-based diet. Whenever I go to a restaurant, I can tell if they know how to serve a vegan, basically. Are they just, did they Google it and say, okay, anything that's not this? Or do they actually know? And I can tell you a lot about the difference. You know, so if somebody's passionate about a subject or passionate about a project, product, or service, they're gonna know the...

Understand Who is Your Ideal Avatar pt 2 Hi everyone, Carl Gould here with your #70secondCEO. Just a little over a one minute investment every day for a lifetime of results. If you were a college, if you were a university, you would look at someone like you, someone like me and say, Oh, well, they're a good candidate. They have kids or they are part of a family, or they live in a certain area or they make a certain amount of money. So they would target me. I'll just take myself. They would target me and say, Oh, that guy, Carl, we should start really marketing to him right...

Understand Who is Your Ideal Avatar Hi everyone, Carl Gould here with your #70secondCEO. Just a little over a one minute investment every day for a lifetime of results. One exercise that every business owner has to do is make sure that they take a step back and understand who their ideal client avatar is, right? So if you get an ideal client, and you know what's going on in their life right now and what would trigger them to call you or accept your call right now, that's the key, right? I'll use myself as an example in just a minute. Still, we want to identify who is the...

Decide Where You Are as an Entrepreneur PT 2 Hi everyone, Carl Gould here with your #70secondCEO. Just a little over a one minute investment every day for a lifetime of results. You have two slightly different approaches. Apple in the beginning, when they first started out, I mean their commercials were throwing hammer balls at TV sets and blowing up the status quo. Well, they're the establishment now. You know what I mean? Like they're not running around saying we want to blow up the universe, right? They're trying not to screw it up right now. But in the beginning, they were...
info_outlineWhat drives Value?
Hi, Everyone. Carl Gould, here is your #70secondCEO, just over a minute of investment per day for a lifetime of results.
There was a study done in 1974 by the Sloan School of Business, and they said, “What drives value in a business? And 95% of what drove value 40 and 50 years ago was the TANGIBLES of the business, its physical assets. Well, let's fast forward to today. A follow-up of those 10,000 companies and the second part of the study showed that 72% of what drives value in business is its INTANGIBLES. Its intellectual property, it's brand equity, its brand promise. Toms shoes- is it the shoes? Or is it the fact that that company goes out, and for every pair of shoes you buy, they buy a second pair and give it to an underprivileged child somewhere else in the world? Which one do you think it is? So stop falling in love with your product or service. Yes, you want your product to be impeccable. You want your service delivery to be outstanding—no question about it. Logistically, we want those things to run well. Understand though, people will pay more, they will pay more for the other aspects of working with you.
