The Game On Girlfriend Podcast
What if money isn't as "real" as we think it is? This week, Sarah talks to spiritual coach, tour leader, and money mindset mentor Halle Eavelyn about the deep, often hidden beliefs that shape women's relationships with wealth. From a life-changing awakening in Egypt to writing The Passive Income Power Plan, Halle shares how she helps women remember their power—and step fully into it. Here's something wild: women couldn't open their own bank accounts until 1974. Today, we still receive only 3% of venture capital funding. These aren't just statistics—they're symptoms of deep programming...

In this quiet but powerful close-to-the-end-of-the-year episode, I'm inviting you into a deeper kind of reflection: not a noisy checklist of goals, but a wholehearted look at what your life and work have really been built on—and what needs to shift. I'm writing this after attending a funeral, and after finding out my Aunt Wendy passed away. Some of you met her in episode 148. Through these stories of grief and loss, I'm exploring how pause can bring clarity, and how to choose a slower, more intentional path into the new year. Whether you're a business owner, a creative, or simply someone...

You know that idea pulling at your heart? The one you immediately follow up with "who am I to do this?" Carrie Rich had one of those ideas while mopping hospital floors as a graduate student. She didn't wait until she had it all figured out. She cracked a joke in an attendance meeting. Made one bold ask. Then another. Then another. Now? Her work has impacted 11.6 million lives across 70 countries through the Global Good Fund. But here's what really changed everything for Carrie: a stack of napkins pushed across a desk and one question - "Do you have a financial life plan?" At 25 years old, her...

We're harsh with each other right now. Judging people we don't know based on where they live or how they voted. But what if we got curious instead? Dr. Kirsten Viola Harrison spent 35 years as a trauma psychologist working with severe PTSD, dissociative identity disorder, schizophrenia, and near-death experience survivors. This conversation changed how I see everyone—including myself. High achievers are often high-functioners—people who've adapted to trauma in remarkably creative ways. The executive who never misses a deadline might be falling apart inside. The entrepreneur who appears...

You can't 10X your business by just working harder. Actually, the harder you push, the more you push away what you're trying to create. Dr. Kelly Martin Schuh shares The Grace Codes framework—and this conversation wrecked me in the best way. Five hours into climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, a guide asked Dr. Kelly to hand over her backpack. She refused. Every other woman had surrendered theirs, but she insisted she was fine. Then she realized she was weaving on the trail—a sign of oxygen deprivation she hadn't even noticed. The truth? It took 28 porters and guides to get 5 women to the summit....

info_outlineIf you've been toying with leaving social media or you're ready to dive deeper, today's conversation is going to help. These platforms are so engaging, but they can cause so much strife. People get canceled. Some go viral.
Karlyn Ankrom is the founder and lead strategist of Oh Snap Social and creator of the Fan Firestarter Framework, a new approach to social media marketing made specifically for businesses who've been tempted to fake their own deaths and flee to Tahiti at the mere thought of content creation.
Social media has made us global citizens. Balancing how to live in this reality and still needing to work is complicated. Participate and do what's right for you with as much awareness and compassion as possible.
The world is coming at us very fast, and navigating that can be hard. Karlyn had a client ready to launch a new program as the news started to break about Palestine and Israel. The client opted to wait.
Karlyn says these decisions need to align with you. If you’re someone who can speak on topics, then do. If you’re not, don’t. Never post because you think you should be posting.
“Have grace for other people when they get it wrong,” says Karyn. “Social media is not a very forgiving place in a lot of ways, and that's why I always tell people to curate your feed for the mood that you want to have when you open an app.”
She says a lot of her clients overthink every word; they care deeply about the people they are trying to serve. But most people don’t remember what they had for breakfast this morning, let alone what you posted on social media two weeks ago. If it worked, figure out how to repurpose it. Share it. People are there and gone in two seconds.
Karlyn says the first thing to look at with your calls to action are whether you want them to be internal or external. Internal means content that's on the platform and keeping people engaged there. External is to get people from the platform to your website, to your landing page, etc.
For internal calls to action, Karlyn says taking the time to tell people what you want them to do after they read your caption is a missed opportunity. From an internal perspective, it can be as simple as asking the user: save for later, double tap if you found this helpful, drop a thumbs up emoji if you agree, if you found this helpful, share it, or send me a direct message.
Make sure that you're including external calls to action, as they are essentially the dot connectors that take people from the conversation on social to a place where you actually own the data (your website or landing page).
Remember the behaviors of the community on those platforms. So, just thinking about how you can add some type of action for the person to do; people are not mind readers, and you have to make it simple. Don't be afraid to share your opinions based on your experience with your audience.
