Chris is the Chairman of Christopher Piper Wines, an award-winning west country based company which has been established for over 40 years. The principal aim of the business is to supply top quality wine to independent hotels, restaurants, and pubs throughout the south of England. However, they also have an increasing retail business through their shop in Ottery St Mary.
Chris runs the sales and wine buying side of the business and takes regular exploratory visits to the wine regions of the world visiting the existing suppliers.
When not working in the business, Chris enjoys road-cycling and helping at his local cricket club, as he is a qualified ECB coach.
During the show we talk about his career journey, how he has grown the business, the range of wines they offer and the plans for the future. We also speak about a range of other interesting topics.
