As the countdown to the 2024 Global Gaming Expo (G2E) 2024 begins, industry professionals are preparing for the annual event, scheduled to take place from October 7th through the 10th at The Venetian Expo in Las Vegas.

Organized by the American Gaming Association (AGA) and RX USA , G2E has established itself as a central hub for discussions, innovations, and networking within the regulated gaming industry.

G2E’s Expanding Role

G2E is widely regarded as the premier trade show for the gaming industry, attracting professionals from across the globe. At least 25% of the attendees come from outside the United States, highlighting the event’s international appeal. Las Vegas, often seen as a trendsetter in the gaming industry, serves as the ideal location for the event.

For industry insiders, G2E offers more than just an opportunity to attend sessions and walk the Expo floor. It’s where global trends are set, innovations are unveiled, and the future of gaming is discussed. “There’s really something for everyone at G2E,” says Korbi Carrison, Event Vice President at RX USA. With the recent growth of sports betting and online gaming, the importance of G2E to the industry continues to increase.

Education and Networking Opportunities

G2E provides a robust education program, beginning with a series of keynotes. These sessions will address a range of topics, from sports betting to tribal gaming to traditional gaming. Notably, AGA CEO Bill Miller will speak on key trends shaping the future of gaming. The event will feature three days of keynote addresses, moderated by Contessa Brewer, and will include insights from top gaming executives.

Aside from keynotes, G2E’s education tracks are broad, covering about 12 industry-related topics. Many discussions will focus on emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and diversity in the workforce. These discussions will take place both in the Venetian Congress Center and in a dedicated space on the Expo floor called “The Lab,” which showcases innovations in iGaming.

For exhibitors, G2E offers a chance to display their latest products and solutions to a targeted audience. A key feature introduced in previous years, the iGaming Zone, will return in 2024, allowing attendees to easily find companies offering online gaming products and services. “You won’t miss the iGaming Zone,” Carrison notes. “It’s bigger and better this year, with special activations that will stand out.

Influencers and New Media

In recent years, the influence of podcasts, YouTubers, and other online media outlets has grown, making them a vital part of G2E’s media presence. Influencers and podcasters will have opportunities to engage with exhibitors and provide content to their audiences. The iGaming Zone and ot

her areas of the Expo Hall will feature live podcast recordings and media activations, allowing for greater interaction with the latest gaming technologies.

Maureen Beddis, Senior Vice President of Membership and Events at AGA, emphasizes the growing role of media at G2E: “We’re giving influencers opportunities to have time with exhibitors and showcase new products. It’s become a key aspect of the show.”

A Comprehensive Show

For many, G2E is not just about the sessions or the Expo Hall. Networking remains a key reason for attending. The ability to meet with other industry professionals, make new connections, and strengthen business relationships is one of the driving forces behind the event. Whether it’s reconnecting with colleagues or meeting new contacts, the networking opportunities at G2E are invaluable.

“Running into people in the hallway can lead to some of the most valuable connections,” Korbi Carrison

The Countdown is On…

With the countdown to G2E 2024 well underway, the anticipation for this year’s event continues to grow. From educational tracks to networking events and an expansive Expo Hall, G2E remains a vital resource for anyone in the gaming industry. Those unable to attend in person will still have opportunities to view keynote addresses and access some conference content after the event.

G2E 2024 promises to deliver a comprehensive view of the current state and future of the gaming industry, as well as the innovations and trends shaping it.

“Last year exceeded expectations, and this year will only build on that momentum.” Maureen Beddis
