Liz describes her journey from growing up in Kansas City, moving to New York and discovering the world of TV writing, then her life changing decision to move to Los Angeles and pursue a writing career with her high school friend, Sarah Fain.
Once their career started taking off, Liz was almost thrown off course when she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and the realization that this was an incurable chronic disorder that she must accept and deal with for the rest of her life.
Proving to be a positive example for all, Liz explains her protocol for living with Type 1 Diabetes and how she manages it along with her busy professional and personal life. Liz lives in Los Angeles with her husband Adam, (whom she met in the writing room on The Shield) and their son Jack.
