Jay recently visited Portland Head Light in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, the real-world lighthouse used as the exterior of The Lighthouse from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. He loves tracking down Marvel filming locations, and this iconic lighthouse made for another memorable stop on his MCU adventures. Shua couldn't wait to see Spider-Man: Brand New Day and had a fantastic time with the newest wall-crawling adventure. Packed with exciting action, memorable cameos, and plenty of Marvel fun, it quickly became one of his favorite recent superhero films.

This week, Jay and Shua unlock the Disney Vault to revisit the live-action Disney films that entertained a generation throughout the 1970s. While many fans remember Disney for animated classics, this era introduced audiences to a delightfully strange collection of family adventures filled with lovable animals, magical mishaps, quirky inventions, and unforgettable characters.

 

The guys explore how Disney adapted after Walt Disney's passing and examine the unique period when the studio searched for a new identity. Along the way they revisit beloved stars, highlight future Hollywood legends in some of their early roles, discuss groundbreaking special effects, and remember why these often-overlooked movies continue to hold a special place in pop culture history.

 

Of course, no trip through the Disney Vault would be complete without a little fun. Jay and Shua debut a brand-new game called Disney or Dat-ney, challenging each other—and all the Ear Buds—to separate genuine Disney movie plots from completely made-up ones. It's a nostalgic, laugh-filled celebration of one of Disney's weirdest and most creative decades.
