Seit 2001 ist Ilka als Moderatorin für unterschiedliche TV- und Eventformate im Einsatz. Zu Ihren größten Auftritten gehört die Moderation der McClip Show auf Viva und die Hauptrolle in „Wilde Jungs“ auf Pro7. Ilka blickt zurück auf über 8.000 Eventmoderationen in den letzten 22 Jahren und ist regelmäßig als Sporttrainerin an Bord von Hapag Lloyd und AIDA im Einsatz. 2012 wurde Sie vom DLV zum Läufer des Jahres gekürt, gewann 2018 den Cuxhaven Marathon und finishte als 1. Frau (Kategorie W30) in Biel 2017 den 100-Kilometer-Lauf.
2020 zeichnete sie das Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie mit dem Titel „Vorbild-Unternehmerin“ aus. Noch im gleichen Jahr veröffentlichte Ilka ihr 1. Buch „Empowerment – Wegweiser in ein erfülltes Leben“. 2021 ihr 2. Buch „Erfolgskompass – deine Reise zum Erfolg“, welches sich wochenlang auf Platz 8 auf Amazon hielt.
2021 gewann Ilka den „Red Fox Award“ und den „German Business Award“ und wurde 2022 als „Digitaler Ort Niedersachsen“ ausgezeichnet.
Seit 2022 moderiert Ilka die Nachrichten auf Hamburg 1. Im April 2023 wechselte Ilka zu WELT und ist dort als Reporterin im Einsatz.
Im Herbst 2023 begann das Energiebündel eine musikalische Reise und veröffentlichte im November ihre 1. Single „Unikat“. Mit der 2. Single im Frühjahr 2024 gelang ihr der Einstieg in die Deutschen Airplay Charts, wo sie neun Wochen lang vertreten war und es der Song „Wir leben hoch“ bis auf Platz 40 schaffte.
Sie liebt die Abwechslung und stetig neue Herausforderungen anzunehmen.
