4218 Making Room for Us show art 4218 Making Room for Us

Create Your Now with Kristianne Wargo

The love is real. You know you love him. But somewhere between the school pickups, the dinner, dishes, and dogs, and the dozen things on tomorrow’s list, you realize something unsettling. You have not actually been with him in days. Not really. You have been in the same house. Maybe even in the same room. But making room for us — for the two of you — has quietly slipped to the bottom of a list that never seems to end. And what gets pushed to the bottom eventually gets forgotten. That is not because you do not care. It is because life is loud. And marriage, by nature, is patient. It does...

Create Your Now with Kristianne Wargo

There’s a tiredness that sleep doesn’t fix. It’s not in your body — it’s in your soul. It’s the kind of exhaustion that shows up when you’ve been pouring and pouring and no one ever thought to ask if you were empty. You made breakfast, signed the permission slips, held the crying child, smiled through the chaos, late-night conversations — and when the house finally went quiet, you realized you had nothing left. Not for them. Not for yourself. Not for the woman you used to recognize. She gave everything and called it love — and you know her because you’ve been her or might...

Create Your Now with Kristianne Wargo

Some seasons ask you to keep going when nothing around you looks any different. The bills are still there. The relationship still aches. The answer you’ve been praying for hasn’t shown up at your door with a bow on it; no overnight delivery. And somewhere in the quiet of another ordinary morning, you wonder if anything is actually happening at all. My friend — you can hold on to what you cannot see. Because the most important work rarely announces itself. It moves underground, in the places your eyes will never reach, building something your circumstances haven’t caught up to yet....

4211 The Power of 4211 The Power of "I See You"

Create Your Now with Kristianne Wargo

Something powerful happens in a marriage when one person turns to the other and says, with quiet, deliberate presence — I see you. The power of “I see you” is not about fixing anything, solving a problem, or checking something off a list. It is about pausing long enough to notice the human being standing right in front of you.  The one who shows up day after day, doing the things no one claps for. The one who carries burdens they have not fully named. When was the last time you looked at your spouse and let them know that who they are matters to you? Desire to be supported and...

4210 The Myth of the Empty Vessel show art 4210 The Myth of the Empty Vessel

Create Your Now with Kristianne Wargo

Somewhere along the way, somebody decided that the holiest version of motherhood looks like a woman who has nothing left. Pour out. Give more. Skip the meal. Skip the rest. Run yourself completely dry and call it faithfulness. And if you've ever whispered a prayer through clenched teeth because you had nothing left to give — then you've already bumped into the myth of the empty vessel.  But today, you're dismantling it — because that myth was never God's design for you. 4209 Release What You Buried show art 4209 Release What You Buried

Create Your Now with Kristianne Wargo

There comes a point in every season where you have to stop and take an honest look at what you've been carrying. Not everything that weighed you down was meant to travel this far with you. And today, right here, right now — it's time to release what buried you. But some of what pressed you into the ground was soil. God placed it there with purpose. It was the covering you needed, so the seed inside you could crack open, stretch its roots, and begin to grow into something only He could design. Yet some of it was never soil at all. It was just weight. Dead weight. And you've been dragging it...

There's a version of you that shows up every morning with a smile already rehearsed. She knows the right words — I'm fine, I'm blessed, I'm good — and she delivers them so well that most people never think to ask a follow-up question. She's pleasant. She's put together. And she is exhausted from the performance. But today, let's get a little I  uncomfortable; speak truth to yourself.

It's not truth aimed at someone else or spoken from a stage or typed out in a text. It is the kind of truth that happens when you close the door, sit with God, and finally stop narrating the version of your life you wish were real.

Honesty is not weakness. It's not failure. It's not proof that your faith isn't working. Honesty is the very foundation every real, lasting change is built on. You cannot transform what you refuse to name. You cannot heal what you keep hiding — not from others, but from yourself.

Think about what plays on repeat in your mind when no one else is listening. The worry you've dressed up as planning. The resentment you've renamed "boundaries." The sadness you've buried under busyness so deep you barely recognize it anymore. Those thoughts aren't your enemy. They're your starting point. And God already knows every single one of them.

The psalmist David understood this. In one of his rawest, most unguarded moments, he wrote, "Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb; you taught me wisdom in that secret place" (Psalm 51:6).

God desires truth in the inward parts. Not the public parts. Not the Sunday morning parts. It's the secret place; the place where your real thoughts live. The place you've been afraid to let anyone — including Him — fully into.

The K.I.S.S. ~ Speak truth to yourself!

God isn't standing at the door of that secret place with a clipboard and a disappointed look. He's standing there with an invitation. He already knows what's inside. He's not shocked by your doubt, your frustration, your grief, your anger, or the prayer you can't bring yourself to pray out loud. He knew it before you thought it. And He's not asking you to clean it up before you bring it to Him. He's asking you to bring it — messy, unedited, and real — because that's where intimacy begins.

We spend so much energy performing "fine" that we forget what it feels like to simply be. To sit in the truth of where we actually are without rushing to fix it, spiritualize it, or slap a scripture on it like a Band-Aid. Scripture was never meant to be a Band-Aid. It was meant to be a mirror, a lamp, a sword — something that goes deep enough to do real work. But it can only reach the places we're willing to expose.

Thomas Jefferson once said, "Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom."

The first chapter. Not the last. Not the climax. The beginning. That means you don't have to have it all figured out. You just have to be willing to start with what's true. And from that one honest breath — Lord, here's where I really am — wisdom begins to build.

So today, I'm not asking you to confess anything to anyone. I'm not asking you to post it, share it, or turn it into a testimony. I'm asking you to be still long enough to hear your own voice — the real one — and then let God meet you there. Tell Him the thing you've been editing. Pray the prayer you've been too afraid to say. Write the sentence in your journal that starts with "The truth is…" and then let your pen keep moving.

You are not too much for Him. Your honesty will not break His love. In fact, it's the very thing that opens the door for His love to reach the rooms you've been locking everyone out of — including yourself.

Real change doesn't start with a new strategy. It doesn't start with a new habit tracker or a five-step plan.

It starts the moment you stop pretending and start breathing. It starts with truth. And truth, sweet friend, is not the end of the story — it's the bravest, most beautiful beginning you'll ever choose.

"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"
