Key Words: Inventive, Creative, Risk-Taking, Cutting-Edge, Imaginative
Why is it so important to develop Innovative as a skill?
- Leads to a collaborative team – where a manager wants to hear the ideas of the team members. This creates the innovative capacity of the entire teams, by allowing for differing ideas to lead to the best outcomes.
- Increasing this skill will allow you to pull forth the genius found within your team and provide you with the platform to credit team members for their brilliance.
How to grow the skill of Innovative and strengthen your team…
- Culture of Courage
- Culture of Creativity
- Culture of Collaboration
- Culture of Cooperation
- Collegial Culture
The Highs and Lows of the Innovative Skill
High: I like to bring new ideas and validate new ideas to the team and validate new ideas that come from my team. I challenge my team to think outside the box and welcome their opinions to improve processes and performance.
Low: I like to keep things running the way they are. New ideas waste everyone's time. If my employees want to learn and grow, they do it outside of work.
Key Question
- How are you showing up to create a culture of courage?
