Making sure that your business serves the life you want to live is not a nice-to-have, it’s a necessity for you to feel abundant and be able to thrive and love what you do every day. Coming from corporate jobs and years of 9 to 5 training is not an easy habit, just because you work for yourself now.

It feels like very few things worth pursuing for notoriety or financial gain are centered around family, nutrition, and a love for community. Chef Rama has not only successfully pulled these things together, she did so on her terms with joy and a passion for what she’s creating in and out of the kitchen.

There are so many things that can block our way to success. We can have a creative block and not be making content, a video block and be scared to go live, or money block and not know what to charge for our product or services.

It’s the Summer vacation edition! After almost 2 years of not going anywhere, we took time off and went to Maine. I loved taking a break from work. I still noticed business-related things on the trip and I’m sharing those with you on this episode.
info_outlineEverything comes down to relationships. In this episode I break down why they make such a big impact. Understanding and embracing relationships is huge for business growth and for enjoying your work. Here are a few key areas where relationships help me and where they can help you too.
- Client – customer relationships
Hear 7 different ways you can create relationships with your clients. It’s not just one thing, it’s everything.
- Opportunities – We connect with people who meet us where we are today. Then they get to know our story. Find out how meeting new people has helped me grow my business and make great new friends.
- Support – Ever have a huge win that your corporate friends just didn’t get? Having friends that are business peers can bring clarity and inspiration. I share what’s worked for me and for my clients. I break down 5 specific things that support relationships can do for you.
- When things don’t work – I’m not perfect; no one is. It’s good to know what your deal-breakers are. One (for me) is negative energy. I also share a few more because knowing what doesn’t fit is just as important as embracing what does.
- When it’s time to move on – Some people are only meant to be in our life for a specific time. That’s okay. It’s natural for us to connect in a meaningful way for a while and move on when it’s time. It makes room for new people and new opportunities. I recently parted with a client. We both honor the friendship but agreed it was time for us to end our working relationship.
If relationships don’t come naturally to you, or you feel uncertain about how to grow relationships that support you, this podcast is for you.
If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. African proverb
