Happy 2007, Its the start of a new month and I would very much appreciate your vote over at Podcast Alley. It helps me reach new listeners and again, thank you.
It may seem obvious, but shouldn’t search results contain the most relevant items for what you actually searched for? Google has always maintained a very high standard, going to great lengths to ensure its search results were accurate, and free of any manipulation. But now there are reports that Google is putting its own products as top results (calling them TIPS) above all other search results, even when it is clear you are searching for a non-google product. Even a top search engine optimization Google team member is critical of this new move. The term Google this for me may soon take on a whole new, and less flattering connotation as people start saying Google this, when they mean lie about the results.

- Grand Canyon is how old? No its not a trick question, unless you ask a member of the National Park Service. Damn the science, full speed ahead!
- Did you get a new HDTV this Christmas (insert holiday of choice here)? Are you at your whits end trying to figure out just why something that looked so good at the store looks like junk in your living room? Listen on, and have faith.
- Link to Carl Sagans widow, Ann Druyan on Science Friday, talking about the late Astronomer, Scientist, and Believer in God Dr Carl Sagan.
