Tuesdays Triscadecaphobia free show:

We’ve all heard someone talk about the need for digital Rights Management. You have the music and movie industry throwing money at legislatures as if their very existence depended upon it. But what if….what if the very DRM they are clinging too so tightly is the primary reason more people don’t actually pay for their digital music? EMI wants to find out, and initial test runs have proven hopeful. Is i possible, a DRM FREE music service from a major record label is immanent?

Also a big that you to Mike (no relation) of The Mike Tech Show. He has helped me out on several occasions, and just last week spoke of this show in very good company.

Also on the show:

  • Canadian music industry, apparently not put off by being told NO to levies on memory cards, is now going after the music players themselves in an attempt to extort up to $75 for each i-pod sold. Can we thank Microsoft for paying universal that $1 per Zune yet?
  • The UK moves to stop you from reviewing your own goods and services with phony online reviews. You can still claim your the best, you just can also claim your an impartial party.
  • Pheromones may not be so unimportant in humans after all. Sure you smell like gym class….but in a good way….or not.
  • So you think your getting 200 pages out of that ink cartridge….think again. Good news, Kodak is shaking up the industry, bad news, the price of in is already twice that of human blood.
