In each episode, I interview a guest and ask five questions: “What were your symptoms?” “How did you cope?” “What was the diagnosis?” “What treatments helped or didn’t help?” and “How did this experience impact your faith?” The goal of this podcast is to reduce the stigma of mental illness (especially within the church) by having conversations that normalize the experience. My hope is that, as listeners hear these stories, they become more aware of various mental disorders and how a person might experience a mental illness. I want listeners to recognize symptoms in themselves or others, and I want them to have the resources they may need to access help.

Im August 2023 hatte ich einen schweren Wingsuit Base Unfall in den Dolomiten. In den beiden Folgen 101 + 102 habe ich ausführlich über diesen Absturz und die darauffolgenden Monate gesprochen. Nun möchte ich euch auf eine neue Reise mitnehmen. Ich spüre, dass sich vieles in mir verändert hat und ich mich komplett neu positionieren möchte. In den ersten 100 Folgen des Mental Power Podcasts habe ich mich darauf konzentriert, euch spannende Interviews mit Sportlern und Extremsportlern zu bieten, die ihre persönlichen Geschichten, Herausforderungen und Erfolge teilen. Ihr konntet tiefgehende Einblicke in ihre mentale Stärke gewinnen und wertvolle Tipps mitnehmen. In den kommenden Episoden werde ich darüber sprechen, was mich emotional und gedanklich nach dem Unfall bewegt hat, wie sich mein Leben verändert hat und warum ich beschlossen habe, nicht weiter am Berg zu springen. Es geht darum, wie man nach einem einschneidenden Erlebnis neue Wege findet, sich neu positioniert und dabei innere Stärke und Mut entwickelt.
