Mixed Mental Arts (Official)
MIXED MENTAL ARTS (OFFICIAL)

As kids, we're like little sponges blindly copying culture from the people around us. The cultures into which we were all born evolved to fit very old agricultural environments. Each contains timeless wisdom about human affairs but none of them is ideally suited to navigating the ever-changing environment in which we find ourselves. The goal of Mixed Mental Arts is to steal the best cultural software from everywhere and apply the core principle of Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do "Adapt what is useful, reject what is useless, and add what is specifically your own." Welcome to the dojo! We're excited to learn from you.

Welcome to the Prophetic Resistance podcast, hosted by Rev. Michael-Ray Mathews. Grounded in our diverse faith traditions, we are exploring what it means to embody love in the face of fear, to show up like hope in seasons of despair, to stand ready to be light in the darkness and water in a parched land. In each episode, we are learning from the stories, traditions, and wisdom of our beloved community of freedom-fighters, justice-seekers, and faith leaders. And together, we are investigating how - in this moment - leaders of faith and moral courage can cultivate prophetic resistance rooted in revolutionary love.

Welcome to the Church of the City Podcast. Church of the City New York is a church community passionate about making missional disciples who pursue the presence of God and "practice the way of Jesus for the renewal of the city." We believe in the authority and power of the scriptures to shape our communal life and practice, as we seek to teach God's word with clarity and conviction. Most of the teaching in our community is done by Pastor Jon Tyson, Pastor Suzy Silk, and our teaching team. We have both morning and evening services and meet in the heart of Manhattan.
