1. Eat foods such as vegetables, cereals, pulses & fruits, & drink plenty of water to avoid constipation, as it can lead to increased pain from menstrual cramps. 2. Sometimes girls may experience physical or emotional changes around the time of her period, while others may not feel any change in moods or body. 3. "Physical changes include: cramps, pain, bloating, weight gain, food cravings, painful breasts, headache, dizziness or irritability. " 4. Emotional changes include: short temper, aggression, anger, anxiety or panic, confusion, lack of concentration, nervousness, tension, fatigue or depression. 5. There is no impurity in the blood associated with menstruation. 6. Sanitary napkins, Clean and dry cotton cloth can be made into a pad for absorbing menstrual blood. 7. Periods in the first few months of menstruation may not be regular. After that it will become normal. 8. Menstruation is not Sickness, illness, disease, infection, harmful, dirty, shameful, unclean or otherwise ‘negative’. 9. If you are at school and your menstruation starts, you should ask a friend or a teacher for help. 10. Always carry a sanitary pad in your bag so that you are prepared when your periods start. 11. Continue your normal work routine even during the time of menstruation.
