How many times have you pushed through the day fueled by caffeine and sheer will, only to realize by evening your decisions are fuzzy, your energy is gone, and your brain feels like mush? Your decisions are only as good as the sleep you got the night before. Your actions are only as strong as the rest of your body took the day before. Your productivity hinges on how still and quiet your mind has been — not how fast it’s been spinning. It's no wonder why your hustle needs a pause. The culture today glorifies nonstop motion as the only path to success. But the consequence is a society on the...

There's a version of faith that lives in a building. You walk in on Sunday, sing the songs, hear the message, maybe even feel something shift in your chest. Then you walk out, get in the car, and by Tuesday afternoon you're back to running your week on your own steam — making decisions, carrying stress, fighting battles — like you're the only one in the room. You know that gap between the sanctuary and the rest of your life is where a lot of us quietly live. Not because we stopped believing, but because we started treating God like a scheduled appointment instead of a constant presence....

People change. That’s a truth we all accept, or at least give a nod to in passing, yet rarely sit with deeply. Time moves on, circumstances evolve, and the very essence of who we are shifts in subtle and profound ways. So why does it feel so strange with the person you share a bed with—are you sleeping with a stranger? When you lie down beside your spouse tonight, take a moment to ask yourself: Are you sleeping beside the person you once knew, or a stranger who lives in their skin? Life doesn’t come with a map. It twists and turns, throws detours at us, and sometimes drops us in places we never expected. This reality hits even harder when you’re raising kids—because now you’re not just navigating your own path; you’re guiding little explorers through their own confusing journeys. Overwhelm can take over, leaving you with questions: “Am I doing this right? Are we lost?” But the thing is that you’re not lost; you’re just sightseeing. When you’re sightseeing, you don’t panic because you’re off-course. You pause. You take in the landscape. You explore...

Looking back at your past is natural. It’s part of being human. We reflect on where we came from, what we’ve endured, and how we’ve grown. But there’s a line between glancing at your history and living inside it. Be careful how long you hang out with your past. Like Doris Roberts said, “It’s okay to look back, just don’t stare.” Some people get stuck in their past like it’s a favorite hangout spot—even a safe one. They replay old mistakes, clutch grudges, or drown in regrets. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the . This isn’t...

We live in a world wired for distraction. Endless notifications, the addictive drag of social media feeds, and the constant buzz of other people’s highlight reels can pull us from what truly matters. We wonder why we feel stuck—trapped in what has happened, fixated on what didn’t work, and overwhelmed by the noise of life. But here’s the brutal truth: if the past leads your present, you’re not moving forward—you’re treading water. Put the phone down. Stop scrolling through other people’s curated moments, the endless barrage of “perfect” lives. Desire to be supported and...

In a world buzzing with endless tasks, deadlines, and distractions, it’s easy to get caught up in the chaos of what’s next. We pile on to-do lists, strategize for tomorrow’s meetings, plan meals, manage errands, and somehow forget the most important moment—the present. The secret isn’t to conquer every challenge at once, but to zero in on what calls for your attention right now. The goal is simple: get through today. Matthew 6:34 says— “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Desire to be supported...

How much of your time is wasted feeling overwhelmed while trying to do everything with excellence? Excellence is always great. But maybe good is enough. Expectations are hard to reach, especially when you set the bar high for absolutely everything. So what if you lowered the bar? Standards are a double-edged sword. They can work to your advantage. They push you to grow, to care about your output, to take pride in what you produce. But standards can also become a stumbling block — one that holds you hostage to procrastination and overwhelm. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other...

It’s tempting to live in a state of “almost”—almost ready, almost fulfilled, almost free. We tell ourselves that real life will start when circumstances change, when prayers get answers, when doors finally open. But in the process, we miss what God is actively doing right here, right now, in the soil beneath our feet. So much of your energy gets wasted longing for what should be that you fail to live where God is growing you. If you find yourself watching time slip away with hope pinned on some future moment, don’t wait to live. Live where God is growing you. Desire to be...

Marriage is often painted as a dance of two individuals growing together. But too often, that dance becomes a blame game in which one partner points out what the other isn’t doing, expecting change to come from outside rather than from within. We demand more from our spouses—more attention, more effort, more affection—while neglecting the vital question: what am I bringing to this table? Reveal my own heart. Imagine if, instead of scrutinizing your spouse’s shortcomings, you first took a long, hard look at your own heart—the good, the bad, and the ugly. Desire to be supported and...
info_outlineWe live in a world that glorifies doing—doing more, faster, better. Yet, when the day ends and the lights dim, many of us lie awake, restless, replaying the endless to-do lists that never seem to shrink. Busyness has a strange way of filling hours while emptying our hearts. The good news? You don’t need to keep running. It’s time to come back to what you know.
Why does life have to feel so complicated?

Truth is, life isn’t as tangled as we make it seem. We pile on expectations, swirl in comparison, and drown in fear of missing out or falling behind.
But beneath the chaos and confusion, there’s a quiet voice—the voice of clarity you’ve carried all along. It knows exactly what to do.
I recently found myself stuck in the middle of a mess with my house and the oak tree incident.
But in that moment, where I gave myself permission to feel all the feelings and experience my ups and downs, I realized that I knew what needed to happen. Yes, there are a ton of things, but it's just like anything else. You do it one step at a time.
But minutes and hours before that, I was caught in my own web of destruction. Doubt was creeping in, while discouragement led the way with vigor. How am I going to get myself out of this mess?
Then it hit me: I already knew. The key was to come back to what I know and take it one step at a time.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Come back to what you know!
If you’re stuck in a similar messy drift of doubt or discouragement, here are three powerful moves that will ground you and give you direction without drowning you in overwhelm:
-
Name the Feelings Without Judgment
Stop running from frustration, discouragement, or self-doubt. Give yourself permission to feel those emotions fully. Naming them shrinks their power and clears mental space. Instead of fighting the resistance, acknowledge it: “I’m overwhelmed and unsure right now.” That simple act breaks the vicious cycle. It’s the starting line of your comeback. -
Break Your Next Steps Into Tiny Chunks
When the to-do list feels like a nightmare, it’s a sign that you’re looking at it all at once—your brain’s worst enemy for focus. Strip your tasks down to the smallest possible steps. Instead of “fix the house,” pick one thing like “call a tree removal service” or “clear the living room floor.” Celebrate those small wins. Momentum starts with a single step, not a giant leap. -
Return to Your Core Strengths and Past Wins
What have you tackled successfully before? What skills or mindset helped you then? Remind yourself that you have faced challenges and found a way through before. You carry the tools, wisdom, and grit needed right now. Grounding yourself in your own history builds confident forward motion, without the noise of fear. Let go of what if, and look at what now!
Nothing about getting unstuck requires reinventing yourself. You’re not starting from scratch—you’re coming back home to what you already know, stripped of the noise and distraction. It’s that simple. It’s that real.
So, when your mind races and your body aches from busyness, pause. Breathe. Come back to what you know.
Step by step, feeling by feeling, you’ll find your way out of the mess and into the momentum you’ve been craving.
"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"
