Keegan is an honor graduate from the United States Naval Academy who ranked in the top 3% of his class as a Systems Engineer while playing Division 1 football. On the football field, he earned First-Team Academic All-American honors (the 6th person in the Navy's history to do so) and won the Roger Staubach trophy (Team MVP) as well as the Joe Bellino Silver Helmet Award (best player in the State of Maryland). Keegan played in the NFL with the Chicago Bears in 2012 before returning to his duty as a Naval Officer. After a few years in the Navy, he turned to real estate investing. In 2019 he purchased his first piece of real estate in San Diego: a 3-unit multifamily for $1.4M with $0 down on his VA loan. Over the course of 2 years, he built a portfolio of OVER 150 units; which comprises large commercial syndications, joint commercial ventures with other investors, single family rentals, Airbnb and luxury vacation rentals, and even an RV rental business. He now owns and operates a real estate sales and mortgage company helping investors in the residential 1-4 unit multifamily space in California. Let’s tune in to his story! Jason Goyanko separated from the Navy in 2019 after 11 years of service working in the Special Operations Community. Post-military, it has been his passion and his “why” to forge connections with others through camaraderie and service so they can lead fulfilled lives. He started the Legacy Group based on the idea of creating a foundation of like-minded standouts who eschew the idea of living in scarcity. The legacy group encourages members to build and create new streams of income with a heavy emphasis on real estate investments. The name “Legacy” comes from the book, Legacy, based on the New Zealand All Blacks Rugby team and their 15 mantras of success. He also owns a multifamily property within the North Park submarket of San Diego. In his free time, Jason is an avid surfer, snowboarder, climber, and outdoorsman.
